This guy is maybe not everyone's idea of the best bassist of all time, but he was in the best BAND of all time, so he counts here...

Bassist / Drummer Checking in with tunes:

No clue how this guy isn't famous - he is a one man band with a bass -

Royal Blood (Bass+Drums+Awesome - and yes he makes the bass sound like a guitar) -

--

Karnivool (one of my favorite bands ever - above Tool - and their amazing rhythm section) -

Mark Hoppus is a super underrated bassist. I think people assume that because Blink is a pop-punk band, as well as Blink being a laughing stock amongst elitist punks, that he might not have any talent. And to be fair, I'm not a bassist, he might not be technically skilled at all. But who fucking cares when the basslines slap so goddamn much?

Awesome thread OP. Also LMAO @ the thread title 😂

I'll post links to YouTube later, but a few:

Yes - Roundabout
Cream - Crossroads (I know the highlight here is Clapton's guitar, but as usual all 3 of them are on point. Jack Bruce's bass here is 💯)
The Who - The Real Me
The Beatles - Paperback Writer
Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused

And many many more. Bass is awesome.

Oh! Forgot.

Rush is a dorky band, but Geddy Lee is an S-tier bassist. Listen to anything from the album "Moving Pictures" and... yeah. The man is gifted.
