My parents bought a Sony similar to that for $1500 in December 2003 but it was like 55". Price sounds too high, IMO.

the price is pretty awesome, compared to other brands, its the quality Im worried about.

I'm really no expert there on specs. I'd be interested to hear other comments too. There must be something better about that TV than my parents. Theirs is rear projection. I think it converts to 1080i tho, not sure.

Oh, and it has asstacular glare. That must be it. There were two models at the time. One was $1000 more. Exactly the same, just no glare.

yeah, I cant even find the native resolution of this TV anywhere. I found a thread at AVS forums, but the people with Sony TV's there post alot less info than the Sammy or Panny fans.

yeah, Im not big on CRT's eitheer, I really want a Sammy DLP, so I guess I will just pay more and get that.
