I never gave it much thought before but this isnt' the first time I've seen someone take a pic from somewhere on the internet and make it up like he/she is someone else entirely.
Godshand and whippinsean know what I'm talking about, there was this dude at the tecmo forums that came to fighters extreme, he signed up an account for himself and an account for his "sister" turns out they were both him , something tecmo forums admins figured out by checking his IP address.
I said it before and I'll sayit again, Camilla's cat looks almost exactlylike my cat.

no see, it could very well have been that they were using the same computer, it was called on them 2-3 months for the shit hit the fan so to speak.
It was when it was 100% verified it was one dude that the 1 computer / 2 users thing was debunked. We called the 2 people out as being 1, and both dissapeared from the internet.
One other way to check a persons identity, find out if that same user name is used on many other boards, verify whose met the person in real life .
Above all else though, if you see a woman/ girl on the internet , especially at a gaming forum, you really can't assume the persons actually a women unless she admits to being someones girlfriend like Exxy and his galpal, who have pics and such to prove thier case.
On another note though, women don't have to prove themselves, its up to the forum users to believe "her" and in Sera's case, the ruse went on for long enough that most people didnt' give it a double take.
