If you still want one, why would you cancel? You won't find a deal as good as this for a while. Even if they drop the price, you'll struggle to get 2 games and 3 months of PLus for that price.

There's no point in trying to convince them of the logic of a deal like this.

So, let's say Sony drops the price of the Vita in a few months to $179. I can 100% guarantee the system will not come with:

AC3 Lib (Good game)
PlayStation All Stars (Excellent game)
Free PS+ for 3 months
4GB memory card.

So, yeah, you'll get your price drop, but you'll still have to shell out a lot more money for games and PS+ and a memory card just to play the games. The 4GB card that comes with this deal, at the least, will let you download some PSN titles (like Mutant Blobs and wipEout 2048 or something), and you'll be able to just play whatever disc games you end up getting, and AC3: Lib, of course.

Seriously, if I didn't already own a Vita, I'd have jumped on this deal no hesitation. Since I have no desire to buy and try to resell it for profit, I passed on this, but I told my friends and family about it, who were in the market for a Vita, but didn't want one at $250.

I mean, yeah, it's good to be frugal sometimes, and to plan your purchases, but I honestly don't see a better deal for the Vita than this coming for a long, long time.

Yes, PS+ is a rental service. As long as you are paying, you'll have access. Stop paying, and then go away until you pay again. If it's a game that merely comes with a discounted price, you keep that forever.

From Uncharted to FFT will after the 3 months but that's more than enough time to play the game. If you're aiming to own them then it's a bit of a bummer but as most people don't play a game more than once, it's a really amazing deal.

The + games will let you pick up where you've left off if you resubscribe. $17 bucks for 3 months is pretty affordable, I think. I don't subscribe, because I have the games they're offering right now. Next month, might be another story.

Heck for $12 more dollars, with +, you get a full year of music unlimited streaming

AC:L and All stars Royale are yours no matter what. The other games are active and playable as long as you have PS+

Yes, but they are reactivated once you become a plus member again I think. Assuming you've got them while you were a plus member.

Was mainly just going to have Vita games. If I play this like the PSP and 3DS, I will skip out on a lot of the digital downloads...still, I'm a bit concerned now that 16 won't be enough. Thanks for your thoughts on the matter.

Digital only is fine with 16 if you manage your data. The only real disadvantage to sixteen is that you won't be able to install everything you own for a trip or whatever. But with sixteen, even all digital you will have plenty of room to have 4ish vita games, more for PSP, and some miscellaneous extras on there.

I kind of understand it. The system already looked like it was DOA. If selling it at this price with these games cant cause a frenzy of sales, nothing probably can. If the system does not have any great games in years 2 3 4 5 then what is the point in investing in it?

I'm really torn on whether or not I should keep this--it's always been my plan to get one of these eventually, but I hardly have time for gaming right now, and won't for the next couple of months. Not to mention I'm going to be moving to a new place soon...

That's actually the reason I bought a Vita in the first place. You can stop any game anywhere without fear of losing your progress, so whether you only have time for gaming in 5 minute bursts (as I did a few months ago) or you want to dedicate a few hrs a day, it provides both. In other words, you can have the whole console experience, or you can have the most convenient of portables.

I really, truly, don't understand the notion that the Vita doesn't have any games that could interest anyone. It has all of the major genres covered, and it has awesome backwards compatibility support.

I wonder if anyone actually does research on the consoles they are looking to purchase, or if they just click to the last page of a discussion thread, glance at a few posts, pick up on a few memes, and decide that it's not for them.

This thread has been invaluable, in terms of showing me any potential titles I may be missing or unaware of. It doesn't have any of the titles already released listed, however. I really, strongly advise the new Vita owners, and the fence sitters, to check this thread, and the various links out. I just find it really hard to believe that there isn't at least one or two games that will get your interest.

I'm not buying a Wii U anytime soon, but even it has a handful of titles I'm interested in, with sure fire ones on the way (new Smash Bros, new Zelda, new Metroid, etc. The usual).

There are a handful at most that interest me it seems that aren't just ports... There's a lot that are ports or available on other platforms we could already play. PSP game are out since I've owned a PSP for ages and games like Rayman that I enjoy I've already bought and played on other systems. Assassin's Creed, Uncharted, Wipeout, and probably like 1 or 2 other games I'm forgetting. I don't know what's coming out soon though so hopefully there's stuff coming soon that interests me.

I have had a 16 since Feb and its held me over. I mostly buy retail, but I've fit a bit onto it: Ridge Racer, Escape Plan, When Vikings Attack, Tales of Space Mutant Blobs Attack, Wipeout DLC, Sound Shapes, PsP God of war (Chains and Sparta), RE 1,2,3...RE Degeneration movie, Klonoa, Gurumin PSP....

Plus, the HD YouTube videos look SO good on the Vita screen, lol

It was for school/research. Needed to be a powerful Mac to use the application that I am working with it. This only works really well on Macs versus Window version.

Because Gravity Rush, Uncharted, and wipEout 2048 are owned b SCE, I think they may be permanent "Instant Game Collection" fixtures, kind of like how inFAMOUS 2, LBP 2, and Ratchet: All 4 One, are permanent "Instant Game Collection" fixtures for PS3 PS+.

With that said, usually the deals will last for a month, until the next PS+ update. So I think it's safe to say you'll have enough time to snag them, since they just went up free this past Tuesday.
