This Vita bundle is insane... (Vita, mem card, AssCreed $179.99 WOW)

You must have either a tiny house or my Wii U pad sucks fat chunks of barf filled ass because I go more than 15 feet away and my Wii U pad shits itself and disconnects :(

I have a townhome. 1800 square feet. Works downstairs, up in my bedroom and in one of my bathrooms. Needless to say I now use that bathroom quite a bit more.

16gb good?

And should I keep the 4gb that comes with this? Can I use it for anything? Like maybe PSP digital stuff? Or am I not allowed to have more than one memory card with my Vita?

the 4 gig is good for storing psp/ps1 games

if only the games I wanted to play worked on it :(
I was so sad hearing that all of the PS+ ps1 games I had that I wanted to play (the crash and spyro games as well as FF5) didn't work on the vita yet.... hopefully that gets fixed sometime (or got fixed since sept and i missed the memo)

Oh also, how does the region locking work for physical games? I know accounts and now apparently memory cards are region locked, so you'd need separate cars for separate accounts per region, but if I have a physical game from Japan can I just play it on the system regardless or do I need a JP region account/card for it to work?

So would you say Nintendo was killing off the 3DS with a 1/3 of the original price official price drop last year. This isn't a firesale, it's a simple promotion that Sony and Amazon have going. Its clear that people weren't buying Vita at 250 so Sony had to do something. In fact if they didn't you'd probably be the first person to critise them for it.

And yes its trolling, considering your information was factually incorrect and biasly skewed to suit your own feelings towards the sytem.

I think you've misunderstood the original post. The promotion is fantastic; the fact people aren't clamoring to buy one at this price is pretty telling of just how little demand there is for the system. At this point in time, it is still available for purchase; that's embarrassing, given the value presented in this bundle.

I'm not sure where the factually incorrect stuff comes into play. I've already clarified the intention of that post, and if you choose to continue to harp on some words taken out of context, that's your prerogative. I want to know though, who's feelings should I be sharing besides my own? Is conformity the only way to avoid being labeled a troll?

Physical games are region-free, import away!

If the vita doesn't sell out within the first hour no one wants one!

I've already ordered, but this line:

including a DLC code for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for PS Vita

I read that as a code for some dlc if you already own the game. But Joystiq is saying it's the whole game. Who's lying?

I can't believe how quick things turned from an awesome deal to buyers remorse. I guess you guys will be waiting until next Black Friday for another deal.

Also, use the money you save on this bundle and buy a 16GB card for the people who are looking for one.

I play project diva on my US account. If you want DLC I'd have a card reserved for your JP account and switch accordingly when you play JP games.

it would be embarrassing if we knew that they only had 2.5k bundles or so, for all we know amazon is actually sitting on a million bundles that sony prepared expecting huge numbers from such a promo... unlikely they have that many I know but the point is we don't know how many they have or how well they are selling.

The deal could just as easily still be up because they had a huge supply compared to it selling poorly.

I got my 16gb card from meijer today 50% off. Would have got a 32 if they had one.

blew all my credit that i got during that weird retro game rush a while back. regret nothing for paying $6 out of pocket for a vita bundle and card case. my only regret is not paying for good shipping.

You can't link accounts or anything i guess right? No PS3 style download DLC on JP account and play it on US account? And since you play on your US account I guess it doesn't mind saving an etc on a different region memory card. おK!

True, lord knows these things weren't moving at $250. Gonna have to defer to the NPD.

So I have $40 in credit at Amazon to spend. Do I put it towards a 32 gig memory card, PSN money, or a game?

Games I'm thinking of buying:

Disgaea 3(played the crap out of 1&2, never got around to 3 or 4)
Persona 4(played about an hour of FES3, never touched 4 before)

or use it towards PSP games with a PSN $ code

Sadly nope, so I guess if you dont plan on getting dlc for a specific game you're free to play it on whatever account.

Eh, why not? Good enough price/content. Can transfer some titles from my PSP2k. Noted it as a possible gift for me on Christmas and it was acted upon. We were having trouble thinking of gifts since I have so many electronic doodads already, but this whim purchase should be fun. Will probably mention Persona 4 Golden to someone else if they need a suggestion.

In the meantime should catch up on some UMDs on my trusty old 2k.

Edit: Cancelled, shipping was slow and gave me enough time to get over the whim. Not interested in buying more of the essentially necessary extra Sony proprietary memory, still content with PSP and Persona 4 PS2, mediocre (and buggy) pack-in game, not interested in All-Stars (which would immediately take 1.3 gb of the 4 gb pack-in), etc....no need to make a new post with this though

The funny thing is I'll probably trade my black one in at EB and with their 20% bonus credit promotion I'll probably get about $150 for it.

I'm gonna try my luck on craigslist for $150 but I'll probably be spammed lowball offers. I still haven't decided if I want to keep or sell these games I just wanted the white vita. I might keep assassin's creed and just sell PSASB PSN code.

If you plan on going full digital then get 32gb card, if you plan on buying hardcopies, 32gb is wayyyy overkill.

I'm selling my Smash Brothers code as I would rather have other games.

Yeah, I really admire the hardware - but on the software end the only thing I'm remotely interested in is Gravity Days and if I can monetize all the stuff I don't want, ignoring the three month PSN+ rental period I could probably still have a few shekels left after selling what I don't want and buying the one vita game out that I do want.

Sorry RPG fans, a genre that is absolutely not for me.

I ended up going with the 16 gig card. Seems like it should suit my immediate needs:

Persona 4, UC:GA, Lumines, Rayman, Sound Shapes, Mortal Kombat, Smash Bros plus about 5 or 6 PSP titles.

I'd add Hot Shots to it, but I'm going retail for that since Amazon has it for 18 and Sony still wants 35.
