Thousands of Wild Buffalo Appear Out of Nowhere at Standing Rock (VIDEO)

I got goose bumps watching this. Seriously, to be defeated by the Feds and police, then have a sacred animal show up. It was like watching Rohan show up to save Gondor.

Native Americans attempting to stop a pipeline from being built on their land and water just got assistance from a large herd of wild buffalo.

Indigenous culture honors American bison (known as Tatanka Oyate, or Buffalo Nation) as a symbol of sacrifice, as the bison give their lives to provide food, shelter, and clothing through the use of their meat and their hides. Native Americans maintain a spiritual tradition with bison, believing that as long as buffalo — a gift from the Great Spirit — roam free and as long as the herds are bountiful, the sovereignty of indigenous people would remain strong.

And in the midst of mass arrests, mace attacks, and beatings from batons, a stampede of bison suddenly appeared near the Standing Rock protest camp. A cry of joy reportedly erupted from the Standing Rock Sioux, as they had been praying for assistance from the Tatanka Oyate during their standoff with riot police and national guardsmen.

It is amazing, straight up.

Sadly while this will boost the protesters morale, I can't imagine the other side caring at all about buffalo being there besides maybe having to steer them away from their building site.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Saw this on my feed earlier. The crowd goes nuts in the video I was watching about this.

This made me cry. I wish I could be there. And yeah, laugh all you want, but those buffalo appearing was huge. Say it was maybe 10 or 20 and laugh, but imagine relying on a resource so heavily, having an invading force destroy it in order to destroy you, and then when you're against a wall having it show up. It's a powerful symbol.

Seriously, even if they were neatly walking in a single line there would have to be more than 20.

People want to make fun of it because they can't imagine an animal being so sacred. So better to laugh at the stupid natives than to recognize that they were moved by something important to us.

I'm just interested in seeing better footage and/or pictures.

It was really hard to see them at first, but holy shit, when I finally did that's pretty crazy. I hope it's a good sign, I really do.

Their resolve has strengthened and this is also fantastic to get the word out there of how horribly these people are being treated by our government.

Also easily 50+ maybe even 100+ in the first video I saw. It was a very big herd.

Never mind the fact that its rare now. It's not like there are herds roaming the country anymore.

We did the same thing to them as we did to the Native Americans

:-(

It's a forgotten part of history that the US army culled the buffalo in order to force the surrender of the Plains tribes.

They did the same to the Navajo with sheep. Kill the primary food source, starve the enemy into submission.

I wish we can get a closeup look at these animals. Though yeah, they are incredibly dangerous. Still blows my mind to think millions roamed America at one time.
