THQ's First Rev Game Revealed!!

John Harker

Definitely doesn't make things up as he goes along.
Are you ready for one of your first confirmed third party Rev launch titles?!?!

.... wait for it..... wait for it...

.......

Disney/Pixar's CARS!!

OH THE EXCITMENT.

(Sorry, I had to do it)

Publishing giant THQ reiterated to IGN Thursday that it is working on multiple Revolution projects. A spokesperson for the company further revealed that one of its first games will be a version of Disney/Pixar's Cars for Nintendo's next generation platform. The title will debut "in the launch window" of the new system, according to the publisher.

So now we have Pangya and Cars... what a launch lineup!

well this is actually pretty smart to release this game with the system. It'll probably sell to a lot of families that buy this. I know my sister will buy this when she gets it for my nephew this holiday season.

Figure any official info on titles we get before E3 will just be confirmation of next gen ports and/or movie/comic licenced titles (which will just be next gen ports anyway, so redundant)

We'll get the good stuff at E3.

hahaa, sorry guys. thought id have a spot of fun.

anyway, the interesting part of the article is that it says its confirmed every nearly every system - and it mentions them all, except the ps3 and x360...

CARS TO BE REV NEXT-GEN EXLUSIVE?!

Stop the press and warn the media!

Sure, some next-gen systems can have their launch racing games... RR? Who needs it. PGR? Big deal, flashy flashy...

Nintendo knows whats up... DISNEY!
And who said Nintendo console games are just for kids!

But anyway, the game could actually be pretty fun if it was online race matches, and you got to hold the controller sideways (NES style) and just tilt it like a streering wheel... much more immersive then pressing left and right on a d-pad (regular racing games bore me).

It would have to virbate and have force feedback, though, if you hit walls...

Glad to see them continuing to work toward shaking that 'for kids' image.

Its not like it won't be on the Xbox360 or PS3 either though. Should Nintendo say no we dont want these games because they give us a kiddy image over the money it will make having it on its system?

of course not man

i just always find it amusing that Nintendo can't ever seem to escape these types of games being the first shit announced for its systems. especially since they gotta know they're gonna be announcing mario this and smash bros this and donkey kong that or whatever.

Of course, Pangya golf or whatever has hard gay. So that's sort of a interesting middle ground!

"Revealed" is not the same as "announced."

You can "reveal" a title just as well as you can "announce" one.

Considering this is more of a revalation, since we already knew something was in the works - it was mysterious, and now the mystery is gone, hence it was being revealed. From obscurity to clarity.

I thought that when the revolution came there would be no shovelware. :(

Without shovelware, what would our kids play?

Sadly, Finding Nemo was one of the better THQ games this generation. But you have to know they're working on a WWE game.

You do realize that THQ doesn't DEVELOP games...right?

They just PUBLISH. Thank you, have a good day.

when did he say they develop games? he did said working but as a publisher with a liscense like the one of WWE you can have some input in the game. I mean THQ pays for that liscense if they recieve something they don't like they can tell the development studio to fuck off and fix it.

They do have a few internal studios, you know. So yes, they do Develop games.

Why are people making fun of the Rev because this game is coming out for it? You do realize that it will also come out for the PS3, X360, PSP, DS, mobile, etc etc etc and it will be equally as bad across all of those.

Yeah I really hope they use Hard Gay as their new mario. Hard Gay Golf, Hard Gay Tennis, Super Hard Gay Kart, Hard Gay Party. Now that would be a blue ocean strategy.

New Markets FTW
