Tiger's putting game absolutely killed him, Yang's been playing well. It was pretty much over when Yang sunk that eagle.

Boosh! Can't wait to hear Michael Wilbon's excuses tomorrow.

It's so fitting that Woods missed another easy putt on the last hole.

This is the fourth year for Tiger where he doesn't win a major, ever since winning his first. Roger Federer has yet to have a year without winning a major under the same conditions!!

Its not the same. Federer has to beat 7 guys to win a major. Tiger has to beat over 100.

yes.... I am pretty sure Woods is concerned about all those 100 players. He only cares about the people that are ahead of him if he is losing, and 2-3 people behind him if he is winning.

It is still not a good point. What Woods has to do is mental with these guys; Federer has to physically and mentally beat them.

:lol anyone watching the marquee coverage? The announcer goes "OH SHIT" when they throw it back to him and he's not ready.

Yeah but at the start of the tournament it only has to be one of those 140 that have a good week to beat him.

Also only the top 6-8 players in a Major Tennis tournament have a chance to win it. In Golf, almost everyone who is in the tournament has a chance. There isnt the huge divide between skill level like there is in Tennis.

Im not saying Tiger is better than Federer but they are just completely different sports and different playing environments.

I know, but it is so hard not to compare them :lol

I hate this shit. Golf and tennis are two totally different sports. I can make the opposite argument. In tennis, you always play on the same court, with almost the same conditions.

In golf, the golf course are always different and sometimes they just don't fit your style very well. Even on the same course, holes are often totally different from each other.

It's also a lot easier to lose your game (or part of your game) with golf than with tennis. A small detail totally change your golf swing or your putting game. Just look at Vijay Singh. He played great yesterday, but his putting was atrocious. Today, he changed his putter and bam, suddendly he's making putt on the first nine holes. Same player, same weekend. There is nothing remotely comparable in tennis.

Why can't we just agree that they are the best ever in their respective sport and stop comparing apples and oranges.

Not really. One plays golf. The other plays tennis. See how easy that is?

I mean, if you're going to bother why stop at Tiger? You might as well start comparisons with the likes of Secretariat or Michael Schumacher etc etc.

The Tiger vs. Federer comparisons are nothing new. They're widely seen as the most dominant person in their sports so the comparison is obviously going to pop up from time to time (usually whenever one of them wins a major/grand slam).
