Tiger Woods plans to return to competitive golf next month at the Safeway Open, and hopes to add two more events before the end of the year.

Woods, 40, announced on his website Wednesday that he will play the Safeway, formerly known as the Frys.com Open, Oct. 13-16 in Napa, California. It is the first event of the PGA Tour's 2016-17 season and will be his first tournament in more than a year.

He had a fantasy of being in the military like his Dad and did Navy Seal training, etc for years. He was training to pass all the crazy Navy Seal tests (BUD/S) while in his 30s, was running in combat boots, didn't take time off to heal up after he got hurt, etc.

This was an incredible read, thanks for posting. I guess if I am ready to sit down and spend that much time reading an article on Tiger I should just go ahead and buy a biography. His rise and fall is so tragic and fascinating to me.
