I really need to get onto watching this. Maybe I'll start it after I finish Halt And Catch Fire.

"... is available upon request" is a line from the show itself. Tim is just making a joke / confirming he is a fan of the show.

The actual approval of a Season 3 has nothing to do with this post.

The scene Tim is referencing:

Am I the only one who thinks this season is boring as shit? (I haven't watched the finale yet)

Makes sense as it seems to be the more popular and culturally relevant show they've put out.

I really hope S3 is the last one though. S2 already felt like they were intentionally dragging their feet to stretch things out as much as possible.

The final episode, without spoilers, just epitomizes the current penchant for protracted narratives that seems to be the trend these days, sacrificing any kind of solid resolution. It's clear to me they just want to milk subscriptions indefinitely. I'd put money on the writers having no idea where this is going beyond '7 more seasons'.

It's like a bunch of new rabbit holes get openned each episode that will ultimately lead nowhere, it really is a reddit Lost thread nerds wet dream.

After finishing season 2 I am still pissed this story has ballooned to 3 fucking seasons.

I remember saying season 1 was incredible and I didn’t want a season 2 I felt if they just made like 3-4 more eps and answered the premises it would have been all time. They still haven’t answered everything and we got absolute nothing burger episodes. And now another season, I swear to Kier. I fell asleep twice this season. We had a whole episode of Patricia Arquette driving around in the snow to learn her mom or something died.

I was on the fence about starting this show but this is the most common complaint I've heard and it steers me clearly to "NOPE" territory, which is too bad because the premise is very interesting. It just seems like it's another one of those premises that would've been better as a 2.5 hour movie rather than another meandering TV show.

Yeah I'd argue at this point you are better off just waiting until the show is actually over, and then decide if you want to watch it based on what people have to say about it once it's done.

After loving season 1 my biggest worry was that it'd turn into another mystery box show where the writers clearly have nothing figured out, and they just try to stretch things out as much as possible and then have some shitty ending that doesn't explain anything and they go with the "it was never about the mysteries, it was about the characters" excuse.

I don't necessarily think that's the case with Severance, but after season 2 I'm no longer as confident about the future of the show.

I don’t know if I feel like waiting for a Season 3 when season 2 was like… I dunno… okay. Not a fan of the last few episodes overall, and I hate cliffhangers.

Also, what happened to Mana? RIP.

All that beeing said the show, especially S1 is absolutely top tier. S2 is bloated but it's all very much worth watching id say. S1 is worth the time just for the concept and the absolute rabbit whole of thoughts it gives you. S2 while having some bad episode is still the best TV there is. I'm just mad. It's not Westworld tier "im out"

I just rewatched Dark with my wife and holy shit, I love that it’s the exact opposite of this. Every single episode answers some old questions and raises new ones. None of this “introduce some mystery in episode 1, then every episode gives you some tiny tidbit until (hopefully) you get an answer in the season finale” shit.

indeed Dark is a fucking amazing show. It also ends satisfyingly wrapping up the vast majority of character arcs and plots going on.

I only wish good european science fiction writers got more attention (off the top, I think the writers were Swiss).

Oh ya that reminds me I’m going to try this series out. Supposed to be good.

I don’t watch many tv series (I watched Penguin though) since i prefer sports and old school tv shows. But the premise of the show sounds good.
