Time Out City of the Year 2021...

Which surprises me, as US GAF always makes it sound like an overpriced hipster hellhole.
Which I’ve always found odd, as everywhere has hipsters these days. SF may have a few more than other cities, but I wouldn’t say it’s to the point it’s unbearable to live there. If I were to move to America, I’d want to live in either LA or SF.

There are millions of whiny 5-year olds on Earth, and I AM THEIR KING.

Dude I have lived there for years and I currently live 30-40 mins minutes away. It is an overpriced shit infested hellhole.

I was out last night and paid $60 for a sandwich and 3 pints.

My buddy doesn’t have a vax pass so we were asked to stay on the street seating and a crazy dude passed around trying to pick up fights. The dude ended up picking a fight later down the block. Not as bad as when someone randomly shits on the street as you have a meal.

I don’t know who makes these lists honestly. The hole city is one big empty office now. The concerts are coming back though, so I might spend more time there going forward. Manchester is also very high on that list. I guess I see what they are going for.

PS: If the streets were clean and less dangerous, SF might have a case, but right now it reminds me of the poor cities I grew up in South America, except, they have the audacity to charge you the highest prices ever.

PS2: They hand out free fetanyl test strips at the bars now. It is that common for people to OD apparently.

New York, San Fran and talked about a lot… cities are so worried about getting eyes on them they forget where to improve on (adjustments, culture etc.) a lot of international cities on the list.

I live in the area and for the last 5 years I only go into SF when I absolutely have to.

If this list was from 30 years ago they might have something, but the entire Bay Area has gotten nothing but shittier (literally and figuratively) since the early 90s.

SF used to be great place to visit and live, it's damn shame to see what it's become. Since the dot com boom one of the greatest things about the city, the people, have all been priced out or have moved just because they can't take it anymore. The worst part is the gentrification has continued to spread to surrounding areas.

Manchatten as they call it now. To be fair, you can't go wrong with a night out in Manchester, if you can make it the whole night without someone trying to kick your head in.

These ladies are just going to pick up their weekly groceries. I went for a pub lunch on a Sunday. And every Woman was dressed like this. A welcome refreshment from the dress down SJW look of London.

Dumb list. How do you compare "good" to someone living in New York to "good" to someone living in São Paulo for example?

I can't imagine how any non-Japanese could have any plan to realistically live in Tokyo for the rest of their life. It's a good place for short term tourist visits and working for 5-10 years maybe but I don't see how anyone could make any plan to retire there or live there until old age.
