Time Takers (Spiritual successor to Concord) officially announced

They'll wind down post release development in March 2027 but promise to keep the servers going until Christmas of that year as a thank you to the loyal fans who believed in them despite the challenges of modern live service game development.

What godawful tiktok music ... my poor ears are in pain and bleeding ... I'll have to put a death metal album on so they can relax and recover ...

South Korean Concord – that was fast! Not for me but I'll say it looks more appealing than Concord itself. The monkey character looks great.

Fucking generic shit. What a completely bland, uninspired and boring "game" this will be. Cannot believe how pathetic the vast majority of the games industry has become. Chase money over what we ACTUALLY want and this is the slop you get.

Imagine being one of the people working at this developer who knows it's a turd. Has to be discouraging going to work every day. "Are you guys suuuurreee we should release a trailer?"

Concord as in THAT Concord? the one that tanked Sony so much money that they shut it down in a week or something? the trailer seem alright I guess but it's definitely not for me. hope they have better luck this time around.

Looks absolutely awful.
But to be fair, some of these designs would have gotten you a scolding from HR, mandatory sensitivity training and a 4 hours long seminar by The Professor at Firewalk Studios.

Been saying it forever, but people just dump me out of my rocking chair and light it on fire. XD

Maybe I'm just growing too old, but I'm not interested with like 90% of the game shown at gamescom this year 😬, much prefer on clearing my steam backlog instead

What's the biggest current hero shooter? Still Overwatch? Is there really such a big lucrative market for such games?

I think what we're seeing is the result of trend chasing in 2018-2020 for the publishers not scared/smart enough to cancel them when they went out of style.

Ah well, makes no difference to me either way, I would never buy a hero shooter.

I think these kinds of games have been in development for years before everyone got sick of the gaas shit. Now all these studios are forced to roll out a corpse onto everyone, get 800 concurrent players on Steam for a week, flatline, and then shutter.

It's happening. You're finally aging out of gaming. The question is where will you go next?
no, I'm still very much interested on my backlog so I'm not going anywhere 😂, its just the newer games that doesn't click with me. I literally just spent 200 hours on mh world defeating Fatalis.

Why is this a spiritual successor to Concord? I didn't quite understand that. I just skimmed the video. Maybe it'll be explained there. The graphic design looks okay, but a bit colorful for my taste.
