for 1.19 I've tried

fore, four, nineteen (for holes of golf and the question), counting the number of question marks, counting the number of question marks that represent letters, and stuff involving 20 minutes,
and I still can't get it right

nice timing, I just glanced back here =P

for 19 you were close when
you were thinking about that number of question marks that represent letters

larger hint:

the answer is 12 digits in length

ohamsie

Member
so should I
convert each letter into a number, like A=1, B=2, etc?

hmm, no, that doesnt' work. Man,
12 digits in length,
I can't think of anything that
would have that many digits.

although now that I think about it,
question mark has 12 letters.....
nope that wasn't it either

I think I get the general idea for puzzle 20, but I'm not sure.

I think since this is a take-away puzzle, you are taking away the second picture from the first. So peacock- cock is Pea, or the letter 'P'. I think if you do that with all of them you will spell a word, but I can't figure them out yet.

I'm not sure if that's right, just a guess. I'll think about it more in the morning, I have to get to bed now.

For 20

I'm certain the top row is a fisherman and a sherman tank, the second row is a lantern and a tern, and the last row is a peacock and a cock. But I'm not sure about the middle row. Perhaps it's down under and down feathers or maybe throwing and wing.

Haha! Me too!

I think this next one
has to do with binary numbers
but I REALLY am going to bed now.

must...stop....thinking....about puzzledonkey

it wasn't?

well...
put it in metric was enough for us to get the right answer anyway ;P

How on earth did you get it, then? No way I'd have been able to find the answer without knowing what it was.

As for the real answer...

I had to Q... Is it a U?... A, I know... R, it's an oak... cup of T?

The clue is QUART IN METRIC, which then makes it a lot easier to find the answer.

apparently there is more than 1 correct answer then.

112101301102 is the answer I used, which was the number of question marks of each line of the question

2.1 I really don't get what this is hinting at. The only way I know to literally move the earth is to jump. I tried different ways of converting that to numbers and then converting that to binary but got nowhere.

various levels and clues and even answers have been given for pretty much every question of round one. If you go back and maybe do a quick search for 1.03 or 3 or 1.3 you should find lots of subtle clues and i fyou go far enough there will just be the answer

That's the answer I used, and it worked.

I haven't really had much time to think about the next question. The only things about moving the earth that I can think of are
earthquakes, tectonic plates, etc.

For anyone still stuck on 3, and who has Photoshop:

Paste the picture into photoshop. In your layer window at the bottom, there's a tab that says Channels. Click that.

If you can't figure out the answer after doing that, you're retarded.

2.1

Edit:
Haha, never mind what I said before. That was a pretty easy one. It has nothing to do with binary whatsoever. The only real hint I can give is to consider each line individually instead of one explaining what to do with the answer to the other. BOTH lines have the same answer, albeit they are phrased differently. Definitely a groaner, though. Clever bit of wordplay required...

By 'impentrable' I, of course, meant 'impenetrable'. Or, to put it another way, easy. :)

Edit: Anyone got anywhere with 2.4 yet? I'm missing the third and fifth words...

man you get through these things fast, I've barely come up with anything for 2.2 though I haven't thought about it much yet either.

I've just hit 2.09, and it looks like it's going to require a printout.

2.2 isn't too bad once you see where it's going, but the title is a little misleading...

my brain just doean't function with these word puzzles =\ I think theres only been maybe like 3 thus far I got without help.

I need puzzles like... where you manipulate things... like a rubix cube or something.

For 2.02

I think it's just a straight riddle, you aren't supposed to change the words and there aren't any hidden tricks, it's asking for a plant that's a lovely wanders and has zip fasteners that people carry. I still have no idea what type of plant fits this description though.

Edit: Nevermind, I got by randomly typing in names of different plants. I still have no idea why that's the correct answer.

once I knew it wasn't a flower, the first plant I guessed was correct.

:/

I guess here's a hint, but it will probably give it away.

the plant is named after a planet

Dammit. I just spent the last fifteen minutes trying every plant I could think of... I must have guessed about a hundred different things. Clearly, your method won't work for me.

Is it something common?

I think I figured it out, the answer is three words. The first word corresponds to lovely traveller, the second word corresponds to zip fastener, and the third word corresponds to people cart. The three words combined is the name of a plant, but it isn't a flower.

Its one of those without a question. So what do you do, then? As usual, attempt to find something to spell out the key word. :) It was pretty easy after a few trial-and-error attempts (was off by one letter, it turned out). 2.4, though, oh god, I remember this puzzle from PD3. What a pain in the ass! Doable, but still a pain in the ass!

Can anyone help with 2.04

So far, my words are: let osprey ??? forum group ghetto whey

You're on the right lines, but:

'group' is wrong, and 'forum' should be plural (and no, I don't mean 'forums').

For the ones that you're missing, some context: 'brace' is as in 'brace of guns' or 'brace of ducks', and is part of the word that 'osprey' starts 'firm' is as in 'firm friends', and is an adjective that refers to the getaway.

I suck at this. Its a word that describes the state of the book right?

Yes, though it's not a state like "near fine,": it's a more common word.

I'm playing and even have 1.3 opened up in Photoshop but have no idea what you freaks are talking about. I hate PuzzleDonkey.

Edit: found the answer in a clue on another forum. I still don't get it, but whatever.

I don't know if she's still playing, but I got a friend hooked on this a while ago. I got stuck at 1.08, and just quit, but she kept going on, continually asking me if I had resumed. Apparently she's a bit better than me at these.
