Yeah I used adhesive clips and they fell apart. The problem with those ones is I really have nothing to drill into except a thin sheet of metal. If there were like little screws and washers with nuts maybe but those ones aren't feasible.What kind of hooks did you use? Something like these should do the trick. You can by the cheap adhesive ones but they look really tacky imo.
With no place to drill actual hooks into I’d use gorilla tape. Just cut it into small strips.
May have to try that. Just hoped someone had a better option than tape bc I'm going to have a new patio cover built in the future and want to reuse them

Or just looking at the picture, I might get some lumber, paint it to match your awning, gorilla glue it to that and then drill hooks into the wood

They will slip in under the siding and hold up lights. Bunch of different types.

If your roof area isn't covered with siding/soffits then you'd need screw in clips.
