It's hilarious that as a Northstar main, I get the most mileage out of self-damaging close range, lol.
I tried her for the first time(ish) now and I can only shake my head...
Hitting Pilots with NS is a pain in the ass cause you have zero splash and curvage while the fucking Tone fucking shoots in the fucking general direction of a pilot and fucking everything fucking works for her.
Haha, I believe it. I am probably yelling shit! fuck! damnit! more often with her than any other Titan.
Maybe Respawn could take a page out of Rainbow Six's book and allow Northstar to lean around corners. That would be cool.

2 questions after watching:
How long does the Salvo core missile barrage stay alive? Until it hits something? He does it twice where he fires straight into the air and the missiles keep moving forever until he targets something.
Also I've never noticed music in game and I play on a loud 7.1 system.
And tone has the worst Melee execution!

It's a joke when you are damaging a tone, long range, and she pulls a 180 and blindfires in your general direction, walking away with the kill on the first on second shot. Most of the time they cant even see me on the killcam. Don't even get me started when her sonar it up. I don't care if she had that as her specialty but it's one of the many things she's great at. Very little effort is required to do well as tone, compared to the other titans.

I use Ronin. In fact, I can use any Titan and win. Titan battles are like chess - strategy plays a big role. Normally, I am about 3 steps ahead of everyone when it comes to predicting movement and actions.
Not trying to brag, but I played a TON of strategy games back in the day. Most people use Titans like idiots.
Tone is balanced, and the people complaining simply don't like her. That's the truth of the matter. Northstar needs buffs if anything.
I will do that for you, my friend. My flu is in its final stages. In a couple of days I'll get back on the grind.

Hope we get some major updates to this game in the future. It's a shame that they haven't released a comprehensive dlc roadmap, quite disconcerting in fact. Lots of games have a similar free content dlc model, yet most of them make a point of outlining what fans can expect.
I really love the game but honestly I won't stick around if we're not waiting for anything good, if that makes sense. A single map at a time isn't enough, we need substancial expansions of content, Titan's, weapons etc. released for free if you want to hold the audience. I'm almost G10 now and while I'll keep playing this indefinitely I'm sure something else will come along and capture my attention aware from the game, if Respawn aren't injecting enough content.

Yeah, this is the killer. Tone can just plink plink away with the 40mm in a 15 shot magazine behind a shield. While if you miss one shot with Northstar it takes another 4-5 seconds to charge the shot back up so it will actually do some damage. Also, after you miss the shot you gotta check your surroundings again because you are most likely getting flanked.
The railgun travels too slow also, takes forever to get to the target and makes it tough to hit someone that is moving especially if you are in a tight window.
This is on sale for 31.99 (GCU discount added) at Best Buy. Ugh. That plus a 5 coupon I have brings it down to less than 30 including tax. I am so tempted to get this due to playing it during the free trial. It was fun but I fear sucking at it. I was decent on the ground where I didn't sit still. I would wall run and grapple behind people before they saw me and end up taking 3-4 out before moving to the next area but I really, really suck in titans.

Don't fear "sucking" it's called learning.
You can be totally fine using your Titan passively with enhanced Titan Ai a Titan can really be strong against Pilots and Titans when you accompany it.
If you were able to take out groups of 3 or 4 and survive using those kind of tactics, you sound like a better player than me, and I feel like I'm not half bad at this game. With some Last Titan Standing practice under your belt, you'll be very familiar with all the TItans, and which strategies to use as and against them.

Ill have to watch this video soon but my best moments with Scorch have been flanking behind enemies and just fucking them up with fire cannisters or put the fire shield in their face.
The one thing that kinda sucks about Scorch is that you absolutely have to use the turbo kit.
Its funny how every pro titanfall player and anyone good says too that tone is too versatile and good but you, a random (console?) player say naaah tone is fine and balanced because I win most scrub tones in pubs with it?

So I wrote the above back in this thread http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1272121&page=4 and Rayme replied about the Railgun but what has been changed since TF1? It isn't hitscan, it still has a slow projectile speed, it still has dropoff and it still requires a multi-second charge up to do full damage. Maybe I'm not seeing the changes to make it "sing" but other people notice the change?
Tone is a better sniper than Northstar.
It's funny how you some random (human?) are making assumptions about my skill level and dedication to this franchise. Also, I don't recall Titanfall being picked up by MLG or any other esport league. Therefore there aren't any pro Titanfall players, just popular youtube folks. Secondly, anyone that is actually skilled at the game doesn't have problems with Tones. Nothing wrong with having a versatile Titan for beginners.
So, stop yapping and throwing baseless insults around. Tone has been nerfed twice already.

I doubt that is still going on but I have been wrong before.

Oh man, why did we go from ALL THAT to pre-defined selections? We're left with diminished options and a balancing issue where an all-around Tone is superior at jobs that were 'intended' for other Titans.
It is probably for the best. Give and take each Titan with a strength and a weakness. Tone and Northstar are the only issues right now imo.
When I play R1, there's more variety haha. People still use Triple Threat for some reason.
I like the current system more, it just needs more balance tweaks

Damn, that's sad to hear. And I mean everything, not just what I quoted. I actually watched that stream and was rooting for you. But you weren't in the right state of mind like you said. But I'm glad you found another game you can be passionate about.
Whenever I get around to buying an Xbone, I'll definitely snag the original TF. Chassis, weapon, and ability selection seems heavenly!
The longer time to kill would be nice, too. In the last couple matches I just played, I died three times immediately after phasing out (screen was white and the vapors had already appeared), I guess from latency, but people can die so quickly, it's insane!

AT&T is the fucking worst, I cannot play anymore if I keep on getting these kind of consistent connections from the shitty service.
You could try to fiddle with your console/pc settings (aka dns etc.) or your router to fix stuff like this :v

I did do that in between every match I played this morning, and it still gave me the bad speeds.
Despite all the crap I gave to my previous ISP (Comcast), I never had to do this sort of stuff with them to try and make my internet decent.
