Movement looks awesome but I am concerned at the thought of campaign-like elements in competetive mp: How does it handle repetition? Is there like "story mp" and "traditional mp" if a person is sick to death of the setpieces? Are stories a 1-match thing or an ongoing thing?

Everything about this seems a million times more interesting and fun than CoD has ever been. Not sure what to think of those that don't see how it could be worthy of the convention award hype after seeing the overview of how this differs from other FPS games. Shit looks fun and they clearly have their priorities straight with 60fps to start.
i didnt realize prior to that first video just how well designed the stages are for it. i loved the bit near the end, where the gif is from, where it talks about how through wall running and the gain of momentum you are able to traverse the entire map without setting foot on the ground.
that and the interplay between infantry and mech has me most excited. titanfall could very easily be a front runner for 2014 goty

After watching the intro video, I now understand what the game actually is. It does a really good job of explaining what makes the game unique. I though it was interesting before simply because of how fun the traversal aspect of the game looks but now I'm seeing how crazy it can get and how the Titans will come into play. I didn't know they had unique special abilities at all or how the game hopes to balance infantry and titans. And seeing that all of the demo characters are equipped with unique weapons to use against the titans made me smirk. It's looking really fucking cool. I'm eager to see more. If the rest of the maps, game types and weapons are appealing I'll probably get the PC version.
They should put this video or a very similar intro video up on YouTube.
Edit: I forgot to mention how awesome the concept of the escape sequence at the end of the match is. I heard about it before but now that I know it allows for more XP if your team is successful I'm liking the sound of it even more. It's brilliant.

The smart pistol takes a few seconds to lock-on and the players targeted hear a warning tone. It's apparently not the hardest thing in the world to avoid, but it will probably work great against AI oponents.

Looks really good, I was really sceptical when it was announced, CoD+mechs is not my idea of a brilliant game, but it looks like an absolute blast to play
I wouldn't recommend that lol. Using a Gamepad in a competitive shooter on PC will only lead to frustration.
More I see of this game, yeah I'd play the shit outta of it. Mechs man, mechs. Source Engine? Probably going to run smooth as butter.
thats just my opinion man. and i'm likely not alone in thinking it.
listen, i play a few games a year - primarily fps and racing games. i stick to what i like, typically halo and forza. there are few games i find as good as these two i've listed and i've seen enough from titanfall to say that it is a game that will almost assuredly blow me away. i'm sure you have your own game you are crazy looking forward to in 2014 that might end up your goty. relax.
