I've been enjoying the current arc. I hope the anime comes back as I'd love to see some of these fights animated.
It's not coming back this late.

#JUSTICE4UNOHANA.
Manga is some of the worst shit I have read in a long time..and yet Ill see it till the end.
What do you mean? They could announce a new anime at any time. They did it for Fairy Tale, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Hunter x Hunter. It's not coming back this late.
Chapter: I have struck a killing blow!Finally.
The service continues to be bad and all the fights are basically I have beaten you with my power well it turns out my power is conveniently the perfect counter to your power.
The last chapter had a character use his special power to transfer the damage done to him by another character to that character and then the other character used his special power to transfer it back.
I'm not making this up.
Would someone be nice enough to give me the cliffnotes version of the arc? Does the fact that we're dealing with quincies mean Ishida does shit?
2. Karakura and SS were both great arcs i thought. I honestly liked it better when it was relegated to just the town, but i never objected to finding more about SS. The Aizen thing just took it in a direction that ended up destroying any more potential it could have had.

The initial premise of Bleach was so up my alley: an urban fantasy story about death and loss and moving on, with a cool art style and neat characters. Ichigo and Rukia had a nice duo dynamic. And look at that anime OP!

That still looks great.
People say it went downhill after Soul Society but honestly it started going downhill when that started as far as I'm concerned, because that's when it stopped being all that stuff I just said and turned into a save-the-girl shonen in a weird old-Japan setting. But at least the Soul Society arc was a decent execution of its idea, even if it wasn't the thing I got into Bleach to see. Everything since has been hot fucking garbage.
FMA had plenty of cannon material to compared to the old anime.
HXH is a bigger series that sells on the level of Naruto when it's actually out. HXH had to get OVA to cover and ending to an arc and another because of Togashi hiatus.
FT is the biggest Kondasha series in it's magazine, of course it has to keep an anime going.
Bleach popularity has fallen since the Aizen crap, the anime dvd's stop selling(so the anime was canned and replaced with a Naruto SD anime), ratings were bad. It could have had an announcement for it coming back during this arc already, I really don't see it happening in the final bit.

Similar to how the Buu arc of DBZ got a Kai version primarily due to Western interest, I wouldn't be surprised if the last arc got an anime adaption due to Western interest or funding. Not saying it will happen but I think there are potentially influencing factors outside just what Shonen Jump or Pierrot or whoever would want to do.
And if Ichigo doesn't end up with Orihime, I'll riot. He'll probably end up with Rukia and Orihime will pair with Chad or Uryu.

Yeah but for real though this is going to be hype
I can't see him ending up with Rukia. She has her duty in Soul Society and Ichigo needs to go live out the rest of his life. It'll either be Orihime or no one is my prediction.
DBZ KAI I bet is WAY more cheaper to do, than animating Bleach final arc.
DBZ is huge in America, it's asinine to compare.
I think it only fair you suffer as we did.He has done shit until recently. And what little he has done has been...laughable.
There are Nazi's, leader of Nazi's becomes god of the universe. Nobody can do anything. Shinigami fight Nazi God underlings for 5 billion meaningless chapters.
Ishida pretends to defect to Nazi god's ranks, does nothing for 4 years, then finally reveals he was a good guy the whole time. Also, Ichigo gets wrecked right after he gets a power up, again.
On the plus side, Rukia bae got a sweet ass bankai, you go girl <3
No, he's only NOW doing something.
It's sad Orihime had more of a presence in her arc than Ishida and her character went fucking nowhere that arc.
Ugh, that is such fucking bullshit. Ishida has always been the most potentially interesting of Ichigo's friends, and this Nazi Quincy business would have been a great jumping off point for a lot of character drama between the two, and they do NOTHING with it?
Come on.

It wouldn't be a Shonen manga if the book didn't expand upon it's simple premise.
To be fair, there was like half a chapter of Drama. The gang and Ishida meet up at one point and Ichigo is like "ARE U RLY A BAD GAI ISHIDA", and Ishida is like "KUROSAKI GO HOME", and Ichigo is like "NO ISHIDA, UR MY FRIEND NO" and then they get seperated. But the gang kinda assume he was a good guy anyway who had his own reasons for being there, so really not much drama.
Yeah its dumb, but that's what happend.

I haven't read bleach in years, but I remember this being Kubo's problem in a nutshell. He sets up a conflict, and doesn't really develop it, he just has Ichigo finally end it after a while. In the meantime, he just throws a bunch of random characters as micro enemies.
His Soul Society arc is regarded because it was at the start, meaning Ichigo's team was small (just his basic group) and we were still exploring a new world, so we didn't much mind that we were taking all these sorts of detours from the main conflict. But the signs were all there. Byakuya is ultimately is a very passive villain, whose just sitting around waiting for the arc to finish because...that's what he does.
The Arancar arc is more problematic. Becuase now Ichigo's group encompasses all of the previous SS 'bad guys', while Kubo keeps making new enemies for the group to fight before we get to the top 10 Arrancar or whatever, and it just draaaaaaaags.
He shifted gears for the fullbringer villians, but no one liked that arc anyway for other reasons, because at this point, he couldn't hide he wasn't all that great at characterization.
I stopped reading sometime around the quincy arc started. I had hoped, with Ishida being the cool rival character, we'd get some good stuff out of it, but nope, it sounds like the same old shit. Introduce epic conflict, and then pull the fucking drag shoot by bloating the storyline with dozens of pointless enemy characters before you get to the conflict you put on hold up until now.
It's a shame.
Ichigo can't live a normal life, that's what the timeskip was trying to portray. He wanted to convince himself of that, but he knew deep down that he wanted, needed to be a shinigami who protected people, that was what he aspired to the whole time more than anything.
Generally speaking, human and shinigami relationships are def not off the table regardless of the previous fact.
More than that, Ichigo and Rukia's relationship has always been written in a pretty freaking platonic/brother-sister sort of way. It actually kinda baffles me as to how they're such a popular pairing in the fandom because I really don't see it.
Having said that, yeah, Ichigo and Orihime are gonna end up together imo. Hopefully the payoff there turns out to be at least somewhat decent.
