Been playing this 1998 brawler developed by Fuuki(?) via Mame lately and it is silly fun. Reminscent of Capcom's Darkstalker franchise(almost shamelessly) but with it's own unique quirks and infectiously wacky medieval fantasy cast. It's got a good juggle system and has great pacing. Supposedly a sequel was released too.

On their website they've got a sequel called Asura Buster: Eternal Warriors...

i'd rather play some random no-name late-90s fighter than the recyclefest of capcom fighting jam. it's (at least literally) something i've never seen before.

Thanks for the heads up. I'll check it out.

Today I came home from class, stripped down so I was nice amd comfy and lay on my couch under the covers playing SSII via mame and my TV out hookup. The new SF2 controller made a world of difference. It was a magical experience.

Finally bought a new PSP, but then pushed the demon onto someone else. Jesus.
What a coincidence. I just discovered this game a couple weeks ago! It's unbalanced, but pretty and very addictive!
