Quite possibly the longest running commercial in sports history....I remember watching this commercial when I first had ESPN in the early 90s. Always laughed at the funny guy in the blue cap. Years later I realized it was Future 500 HR club*** Fred "CRIME DOG" McGriff.

In other unrelated news...
The Devil Rays have cut one of their players.

This commercial is great. Who would have thought that a single ad could last over an entire decade? It's the Cal Ripken of commercials. It never misses a late night airing!

And on a note about the McGriff article....why is it that every article posted here from ESPN.com has a glaring error in it? Grammatical, spelling, or factual, there's always something.

McGriff is tied with Lou Gehrig for 21st place on the career home run list. He was trying to join Ted Williams, Willie McCovey and Eddie Murray as the only players to reach 500 homers after turning 40.

And three paragraphs later:

McGriff is tied with Lou Gehrig for 21st place on the career home run list. He was trying to join Ted Williams, Willie McCovey and Eddie Murray as the only players to reach 500 homers after turning 40.

I wish I could get a job at ESPN.com. I'd be able to spend half my time watching sports, the other half sleeping with my face on a keyboard. It'd be great.

I also like the video that Reggie Jackson endorses -- he gives you FIVE reasons why you should buy it.... his rings. Hahaha.
