I saw a special on this guy about five years ago. They had this one part where he went to the cereal section of the grocery store. There was a little boy right next to the Frosted Flakes, so the old man went up next to him. He went, "Do you like Tony the Tiger? I AM Tony the Tiger!". The little kid is a little freaked out. Then the old man erupts with a, "THEY'RE GRRRRREAT!". The expression on the kids face was priceless. It was like, "Please don't kill me, creepy old man!".

That's probably because your TV viewing no longer fits the target demographic for the cereals, hence no Tony the Tiger in your TV shows. Go watch something a 3-year-old will watch and you'll see all the Tony/Lucky/Toucan Sam/etc you can handle.

Aww, what a shame. Still, yeah, he's been powering on for a long time, it looks like he even pushed out enough Tony voice recordings for some interactive CD they're offering, that can't have been easy on him.
