Took the sisters kids to the lake sunday, the water is the perfect temp... was pretty fun... We had the queen size air mattress out there but didn't get any pictures because I was out there too... :)

Suddenly I don't feel so unfortunate to be living in Australia with beautiful beaches just a short drive away.

Great pics -- looks like theyre having a lot of fun and that's a pretty incredible lake. Where exactly is it located? Oh, and dont let Son of Godzilla see these!

Well hey, I live in Las Vegas, 100s of miles away from the ocean. We're glad to have Lake Mead.. the water really felt great... :)

North of Hoover dam... It's the man made lake created by it.

This is related since the last time I talked about the punisher bike I also talked about the gun I ordered a lifetime ago...

I picked it up today, 5 months and 300 more dollars than I was told.... But who cares... it's here.

It's so heavy my little niece couldn't pick it up so I had her stand with it for scale.... It's heavy enough that just holding it to your shoulder is very difficult even for someone as big as me.... I'll shoot it this weekend.. I can't believe it finally came....

It's a Barrett semi automatic .50 caliber rifle... I might make a mount just for photos and stick it on the punisher bike... but since this is a real gun and not fake like the gatlin gun.. I will mostly just go shooting in the desert with my buddies. :)

Assault weapons have gotten a lot of bad press lately, but they're manufactured for a reason: to take out today's modern super animals, such as the flying squirrel, and the electric eel.

Well you're not really allowed to protect yourself with this gun.. it's too much overkill.. besides I'm a big guy, I'm not afriad of much... I just bought it because I've wanted one for 18 years... I plan to just use it for target shooting.....

Oh, the scenery is nice. Pretty mountains. But the 'beach' and rocky floor is just too ass-ish to ignore.

I suppose I'm kind of shitting on your thread, so...

A lake is a lake. Water is water. Looks like the kids had fun! And what kids! Such nice smiles! And what an uncle to show them a good time!

kind of weird but the only thing that stood out to me in those pictures is that you're begging to have your windows bashed in and cd's stolen one night.

Amazingly enough, some guns can be owned without ever using them (or intending to use them) to kill something... This is a very dangerous toy, but to me it's just a toy... It will never be used for defense, or offense, the only things that need worry about my gun are large jugs of water, cinder blocks, old TVs, and maybe the odd abandoned car (lots of those out in the dersert surrounding vegas ) here or there.

These kinds of things don't really go down in value, if I ever want to sell it I can get almost all my money back...so aww well..

I took the bolt out so I could feed in a belt of ammo just for the picture... It doesn't use belt ammo... :)

Every time I go over to my friends house he has some sort of new gun he bought. Hes got all kinds of handguns, shotgun, rifles. I never knew a gay man could be so into blowing shit up, violence and heavy artillery. :lol

I don't know why everyone on here flips out over guns so easily. The majority of those that own semi-automatic weapons own them for showing purposes/collective value only and little more. Any shooting that is done with guns of this caliber usually consists of target shooting in a closed off area that has been restricted for just that purpose.

Personally, I'd trust someone like Alien to be handling guns of this caliber far more than I currently trust the majority of people out there to be carrying handguns of any caliber, because he is likely far more responsible and knowledgable with regard to how a gun is meant to be handled. The people that you should be worried about are the next door neighbor types that keep handguns; because trust me, they usually don't know how to use them and are irresponsible about where they keep them. I feel much safer around the use and handling of rifles than I do pistols for an array of reasons as well.

Anyways, I've fired a Cobb FA 50(T), but I'm not a big fan of .50 Cal myself. If I'm going to fire something, I prefer to be able to hold it instead of being stationary (or laying on the ground, which is what I had to do with the Cobb). They also banned .50 caliber weapons in California recently, so I only know two people that own guns of that caliber. Alien, if it isn't too intrusive, may I ask if you belong to any clubs?

BTW, one of my relatives in Pennsylvania lives in a historical home/plantation that union troops used at one point during the Civil War. When the troops moved on, they left a cannon behind, which has been in the family for generations. When I went to visit them one summer, I got to fire it! :lol No caliber can match that thing. ROFL

No clubs yet, I am new to gun onwership... I plan to get into all that... :)

I found out the tracer rounds are going to be a problem... definitely a fire hazard.. but the explosive rounds work great... they completely break up on impact...

I finally got to shoot it today... went through about 60 rounds, which means I burned through over a 100 bucks of ammo... damn...

This thing kicks like a mule... After about 3 rounds your shoulder is begging you to stop... I found it was much easier to just shoot it from the hip rambo style.. the gun is so long you can aim from the hip too... It's got so much recoil it's hard to aim with the iron sights...

Oh you guys have to see this one..

Everything I've shot so far has been a soft target so to speak. The bullet passes through while expending hardly any energy on the target intself.

Today we found a half inch steel plate door from something. The explosive bullets could release ALL their energy on the target.. The explosion was many times larger than before...

This plate is about 36" by 36"... the fire ball is as big as the plate... It made a huge yellow mushroom cloud with every shot.
