about a year or 2 ago they decided to reair soul eater in japan again, with different openings and everything, this was weird, and there was a big rumor going around that there was going to be a "soul eater brotherhood" everyone was hyped, but nothing came out of it in the end and that soul eater NOT thing was the only bit of SE news we got in a while.

Re-air Soul Eater, but no brotherhood type sequel? We get Soul Eater Not instead? Somebody fucked up here

I personally wouldn't enjoy Soul Eater that follows the storyline of the manga. It falls apart very quickly and there were only like 2-3 fights after the canon stuff that truly piqued my interest. Everything else was sort of garbage.

Kayos likes SAO, he tolerates it better than everyone else here. Also, I dislike when people try to suppress negative opinions. This isn't an echo chamber, I enjoy seeing a variety of opinions as long as they're well thought out. If somebody wants to crap on a show and has legitimate reasons to do so, let 'em.
 
I'm hyped for Black Lagoon. I watched much of the first season but didn't watch the 2nd season and OVA(I don't know why). The manga is still ongoing, are they going to animate more material or what? I seriously hope Toonami doesn't edit it too much.

lazy also borderline loves the show, but I think some of it is ironically and most of it is the TnA

Water 7 sure is a weird place, it's practically Afghanistan this point. Instead of hearing Luffy out and finding evidence that a member of his crew attempted to murder Ice pops, they decide to rely on heresay and adopt a 'Lol fuck it lets kill em all' attitude. That makes absolutely no damn sense. At least we got to see Franky be a badass, that alone bumps this into the top 5.

It's important to remember that the Straw Hats are ALREADY criminals even if they had nothing to do with Iceberg's assassination attempt, and it wouldn't be unusual or unjustified for people to come after their heads even if they didn't think they had been wronged by them directly. Since they do think they had something to do with trying to kill their boss, why wouldn't they shoot first and ask questions later? It's not like there are negative legal consequences to taking down pirates.

Because Ice pops said Nico Robin was the one who shot him? If someone punched my non-existent brother I'd go after the one perp, not his entire family. That's the best analogy I can think of right now but I think it gets the point across. Luffy didn't want to fight and offered to clear his name, a normal person would take him into custody and conduct an investigation. I know they deal with pirates all the time but it's been made pretty clear that the Straw Hats aren't into cheating people/killing/plundering.
 
Thanks again guys! I think the Big Dandy pic has only a Week or 2 left... Depending on how the rest of the images go... will probably then start a big one for the 2nd half of the series.

I might try a bit pic for the final half of the block, since Jack is so easy to draw quick, or I might get greedy and give up drawing Jack some weeks, as it's been so long since I've seen it! ;) But his return deserved some color!

As far as noteworthy show impressions:

DANDY - Hey, it's Jet and Mayfa again! Haha, we gots subtitles. That made me smile. (Watch it be the lowest rated Dandy ep ever.) I didn't feel the show was anyway near as "FEELS"-y as it could have been... it didn't feel OVERLY seriously, just like it added some serious along with Dandy's usual trappings.

BREACH - Was I the only one who just... enjoyed seeing a "Life like normal" episode after all this time? Felt like a bit of a return to season 1. What's wrong with spending a few min on Kon? People actually like Orihime's cooking! Nozomi's Zanpakuto spawn felt kinda like what happened with Ichigo, I was OK with it, not rage inducing or anything. Zettai Ryouiki come standard with Soul Reaper outfits? They've thought of everything!

SAO - "BROCUZ!" "...Sorry?!" ..... *A Dork loves me, who cares about him...FALCON PAUNCH!* ... "Lets Fight!" *WeZbothGunThrowzFIght!* "OK, we kew now, lets Teen Titanz ***** those mini-Bozzs!" ---- ?Did some guy blow up?? -- "Impossible To clear? WON PIEEES - I keep feeling like I have so much more respect for current dub Nami than I do for Modern Episodes Japanese Nami. Her voicework just makes me take her more seriously. So Odd. Yet Franky... I dunno, I never really feel Franky's place in the series all that well. It's nice to see his proper intro into the series like this for me, because from the games, I just kinda jumped into "Oh, there's a Male Swim... Bot... What... on the team now!" and never looked back.

Blanket mention: I HATE underlings on One Piece, lol. They are the most pathetic "ANIKI SAID IT, SO IT'S TRUE!" group in like... ANY ANIME. Every saga (I've seen) of the show has adult men that blindly follow other adult men without question, that seems to have a much, much worse Brother Complex than Sugu will ever have, in 2 runs of SAO. I like it because it makes the impossibly strong men seem even more powerful. I hate it because it's so constant, it just feels like scene filler in ever saga. It's as sure to happen as it's sure to see a mugiwara.

SOUL MUYO - Kagato Medusa: Genie Hunter Cant Hurt Innocents, Splendid convenience! You've won girl...

SAMURAI - Such a nice, artsy little episode. We cover a lot of ground in a pretty simple way. I always felt kinda weird that we had the ultimate showdown appear in episode 1... and that Jack would have dominated Aku pretty well if not for Evil Always Find a Way.

I still miss 2 Inuyasha Eps. Clone Wars does nothing for me on this block, regardless of the shows quality per ep. I enjoyed SAC being moved up, though I have to say... even I barely remember this episode. Though Chun-Armgun-Li should at least be SLIGHTLY more memorable....

seriously, i actually struggle to remember what happened in this week's Ghost in the Shell every single time i think about what aired on the block.

Luffy has a totally Shonen View of beign a Pirate. "I just go by this name because it means I can be free and do what I want!"

Noone told him Pirates generally Rape, Pillage, Destroy, and Plunder. If a RPDP'er came to your town, had one of his members shoot your boss FIVE TIMES, and then said "Ugu, guys, We all frends, Naikama, Buddy-Os, right? Lets talk about our issues!"... naaa, lets just shoot him!

But yeah, the non-exceptional characters of One Piece are very stupid and weak-minded. Like, Jedi-mindtrick-the-whole-world-at-once level weakminded. Being in a power faction in the world means "I'm one of the few people in the world that can think without an ANIKI leading my day to day routine!".

It's funny, because normally I can say "That has some greater meaning...." and that's why I remember almost any episode. But this one... NOPE. It's like it meant less than nothing to me, and that's REALLY odd, as many times as I've sat through the series on TV. Batou and Dogs, Paying the Ferryman, Multiple kills of the same sexroid Maid, Aramaki finally taking note of the Major's distracting clothes... it was like a lost OVA I missed out on.
 
Not going to lie, I'm still elated as shit that Kickheart got 0 points! No show is more deserving of a 0 and arguably a 0 is too much for it.

i think it was supposed to be some statement about how hoarding money is lifeless or something like that, but it wasn't really conveyed very well. even by the show's usual standards of staring right into the camera while delivering its themes

That's kind of a very specific term/example, what makes the :username work is because it can apply to so many moments

:kayos not knowing something that is considered common knowledge

:duckroll hype leading into crushing disappointment

Other then my kickheart tirade I really don't hate on things that nobody else would talk about if I didn't hate on it lol

I think what does it in for me is the fact it didn't seem like it focused on any specific main character. They normally shoulder a plot heavily on one of the Section 9 members similar situations. Which makes the show feel like it's simple situation has layers of meaning. Yet here, it's as if everyone had a little say... which didn't amount to anything serious.

And our villainess has probably be done a few times in the series. Single-minded Prosthetic limb weapon-wielder! Ooo! *shrug*

Pretty decent night all in all.

While Bleach was clearly the worst show tonight I'm amazed at how many people take exception to Noizumi turning into a soul reaper. She's literally the prototype of a group of high powered but disposable Soul Reaper stand ins. Not only did they explain that at the end of last episode but they reiterated it during the middle of this one! I guess this episode was so boring a bunch of people couldn't be bothered to follow along with this basic part of her character.
