Also considering how often the K-On community thread is on the front page of the Community forum (and is easily the single most popular one anime thread in Community I know that bringing them in with the pre block would cause a gigantic upswing in posting. It would also get us targeted by the FBI but who cares?

We begin with Naruto bringing up Jiraiya's total failure of sensing Tsunade's poisoning way back in the Sanin arc. Sakura also gets a dig in. J-man can put two and two together and when he heard her calling the good Fuma Bandits traitors he knew she wasn't on the level.
Our character of the day Sasame, learning of her dishonorable ways tries to kill herself!
The Kunai gets Bright slapped away! Sasame claims she deserves it and apologizes. The Genin beg for forgiveness, but he talks about "The Law of Shinobi" and demands punishment. Naruto claims equal punishment under his "way of the Ninja" to keep promises to good looking girls and Sakura joins the sit in protest.
Jiraiya promises not to eat her alive...because he knew what her plan was all along! Her punishment is to go with the good Fuma.
Wait...he's only being nice because of all the free booze and food?
Sakura and Naruto react as you'd expect.
Cut to the Sound Village. They order Sasame home. Naruto promises a daring rescue.
Sakura decks him, Sasame leaves. They are going for the front door approach. Three fat rats would make too much noise for this virtuous mission. Jiraiya summons Gamakichi and Sakura...
well, she doesn't take it well. She handles frogs about as well as certain people in this thread handle spiders.
(For those of you who remember the dub Gamakichi has a hilarious Brooklyn accent that makes him sound like a Baccano reject.)
Aww Son of a bitch, Sasame swerved us again and didn't leave. She loves her cousin almost as much as Sugu!
Cut to creepy candlelight halls...The frog is making a wonderful long range scout being oh, a good two meters ahead of them. More candles, more halls.
Oh yes, definitely split into three groups here Jiraiya. He clearly believes in trying to weed out the stupid apprentices first. Naruto picks the center door but the Toad Hermit orders him to stay put as he pulls out an impressive looking rod!
Jiraiya uses it as divining rod in a very giffable sequence and decides to go on one of the side paths, they agree to meet up in thirty minutes back here but orders the Genin to stick together! Naruto, Sakura, get equipped with, LEAF HEADBANDS and head down the center, Gamakichi goes left and Jiraiya goes right.
Cut to Jiraiya in a windy lantern filled cavern...he smells perfume as a door opens...revealing...
A filler courtesan! Jiraiya thinks she might be a fox or badger spirit. She says that Orochimaru told her to expect foreign company and that he can check her for a tail! Jiraiya likes his path!
Naruto and Sakura enter a classic trap corridor of doom. Spikes, logs, needles, all that jazz. They start a classic temple of doom sequence when finally the stakes come down and Naruto screams!
NARUTO IS DEAD! GAME OVER, THE USER WINS.
Wait no. Why did Naruto scream like a girl then? Sakura saved someone.
and falls into a hole.
Naruto catches her, but after saving her loses his chakra grip and falls in! The trapdoor shuts and a wall falls on it!
Back from the break and Sakura is shook.
Naruto calls out though and is alive.
Just barely! Tells her to leave him like a true hero, promising to catch up. He better catch up, she promised!
Cut to Jiraiya drinking Sake and listening to music. Music Jutsu? Nope, she's playing for herself. She composed this music...for her own funeral? He flips the tea tray onto her but goes to one knee? But the drink wasn't poisoned?

Cut to Naruto balancing on a spike. Shadow clones! They aren't too happy but first Naruto wants to make an Rasengan to get themselves out of this...

Cut to Sakura with a purple flair in a creepy hallway. What was that sound? A door opens! Is it Sasuke???
Way better, it's Kabuto! Where are his Ninja Info cards??? She's the only one who made it. He claims Jiraiya and Naruto are probably dead! He cuts a fantastic heel promo saying that its probably Sakura's fault that J-man and Orange Jumpsuit are dead! He throws some shurikens. She attacks and gets stuck full of projectiles, you're all genre savvy to know what happens.
(bedroll instead of log because they are inside)
Yes Kabuto, substitution jutsu. The most basic jutsu. Kabuto name drops Orochimaru and we get a forest of death flashback. Sakura is legit shook. Really trippy sequence and they show the whole thing.

are the deaths so far. But I wasn't reloading, and I hadn't learned how medkits worked yet, haha. I could just revive you as new recruits so to speak.
Seda the King (Heavy) and Zonic 505 (Assault) are my heavy hitters so far.
Jintor Onfire (Support), Fox Uzamaki (Heavy), Schaden Freude (Assault), and GMN NMG (Sniper) are the others tht have ranked up to a class. Everyone else is a untested rookie.
Sorry if this seems random and dumb for me to update, I won't spam the thread, just having a little fun.

I just got done reading it infact, also is it me or did the animation budget just explode from those screenshots? that jiraiya fight looked like thats where the majority of the money went.

The animation in the first two filler arcs is ridiculously awful but if you watch the end of the Sauce/Naruto fight you know where all the budget/effort went.
It's been awhile but I remember the arc right after this one being even shoddier looking. We'll find out soon!
