Get used to seeing this flashback. They overdo it a bit in this episode, the only real flaw.

It's reasons like this why I tell everyone to read the manga, then watch the anime for fight scenes.

Yeah. I marathon'd a lot of One Piece and it does seem to drag on. I think even weekly, this arc is spectacularly bad in how long the recaps are every week. They did everything to stretch out episode and avoid fillers anywhere in the arc. They could learn a thing or two on Bleach.

One Piece Kai would still be massive though.
