That's main flaw of AgK. They don't develop the characters too much aside from Tatsumi, and even he's not exactly compelling enough. And when some of the characters die, how is the audience supposed to give a damn when the characters are underdeveloped. Giving them a flashback prior to their predictable deaths doesn't help because it feels artificial.

I think the saddest part about this show is that while I will be the first person to shit all over this show, I also think it's actually closer to being something pretty decent than many think. I might have to do a write up or something in the new thread because there's kinda a lot of stuff I wanna say about this show.
Even if it probably doesn't deserve it.
Well, I could remember, but it was pretty easy to keep track of early on for me thanks to how popular a choice it is to have adaptations of Susano'o in Japanese works.
Though I do care (and agree with liking Kurome more than most here), these are all still valid points. With someone more pragmatic having been appointed to oversee how the source material was adapted, who also had a sufficiently keen vision for how to expand upon it and knew how to rein in some of its excesses, this could've been a considerably better show than what we ended up with. As it stands, it's entertaining, but ultimately far short of being something truly great.

Dragon Ball Z Kai:
Frieza survived somehow, and how he's Mecha-Frieza. He also brought his dad King Cold (Freezer, Cold). But we end with a mysterious purple haired boy with a sword. Dun dun dun!
Akame ga Kill:
This episode is kind of weird in that it's partially canon but it changes things up. The same thing happens with Mine and Budo, but Mine doesn't die, she just ends up in a coma. Also, the Susano-o thing happened earlier in the manga. Still a really shit episode not helped by Sentai's incompetent dubbing.
Parasyte:
COULD YOU TELL HUMANITY IS NO DIFFERENT FROM THE PARASYTES? LET ME HAMMER IT IN SOME MORE!
At least the scenes with the PI were nice.
Samurai Champloo:
Maximum Lewd. I mean, when you have an episode about a guy that draws porn then yeah it's gonna be lewd. Are the Yakuza going to be an ever-present thing throughout?
