Power Rangers (the show) was wild dumb, but even with the movie taking itself more than slightly serious I think it could turn out decent


I feel like they could have leveraged an interesting setting and story with GitS without trying to bank on ScarJo, but that whole thing dampens any excitement, and I don't really think ScarJo makes much of a difference anyway, so ¯\_(&#12484_/¯
