In the manga, Sakura explodes the poison away in a matter of panels. In the anime, she thinks, has flashbacks, thinks, flashbacks, and then does it.

Basically they decided to take an episode to remind us of the third kazekage's disappearance and to have Sasori bring him out as a puppet. That's the episode.

The Sakura+Chiyo vs. Sasori fight started. And I'm sure it will continue for the next 5-10 episodes, broken up by lots of clips of clone fights and Naruto yelling at Deidara.

I haven't been bored with the war arc since I watched most of it in a session. The last episode had some very good animation, and shippuden lately has been pretty good about using it's animation budget during the right moments. I'm enjoying it /shrug.

War arc had a cool episode when Madara first steps on the battlefield. But other than that, nothing great. I'm not entirely caught up though. Too much filler everywhere
