That's half the fun of Nen is actually trying to figure out what some of the more obtuse abilities actually are. Some seem incredibly basic and straight forward but are in fact full of all manner of strange almost convoluted rules.

And if you can't figure it out then the show loves to explain it most of the time. Thank God cause otherwise I would've been totally lost watching the sub since I was focused on the dialogue.
