From not the guy who brought you Adult Swim Shows Survivor, or the guy who brought you 1990's Cartoon Survivor, it's Toonami Shows Survivor! Like the previous 2 threads, we will vote every day to determine the king of Toonami shows.

Rules

1. You may vote once each day to kill 2 shows and save 1, like so:

Kill: Show A
Kill: Show B
Save: Show C

You must cast 2 kill votes and one save vote. You are allowed to cast both kill votes on the same show. This voting style will remain in place throughout the entire competition.

2. Voting ends promptly at midnight (EST time) of each day. Voting does not reopen until the results are posted. Votes made or edited after voting has ended and before voting is reopened will not be counted.

3. When voting, make absolutely sure that you specify exactly which show you are voting for. Do not, for example, cast a vote for "Gundam" if multiple Gundam shows remain.

4. You must make at least ONE comment on your vote (This means one at least one comment about at least one of your votes). It doesn't have to be super explanatory or even good. The explanation must also be in your post proper. Explanations in the "reason for editing" at the bottom of the post will not be acknowledged. This isn't a list thread.

5. If you wish to change your vote, edit your original post. Posts later in the thread stating that you are changing your vote will be ignored. This also applies to explanations!

6. If you vote two different times during the same day, BOTH of your votes will be disqualified.

7. Violation of the above voting rules will result in your entire vote being thrown out. Don't let your favorite show die because of a mistake!

8. At the end of each voting day, the 2 shows with the highest number of net points (# of kills - # of saves) will be eliminated (3 shows will be eliminated in Round 1 due to the odd number of total shows). In the Top 10, only 1 show will be eliminated. In the Top 3, the show with the lowest number of net points will be declared the winner.

Tiebreaker Procedures

Ties between two or more shows will be broken as follows:

1. Least number of saves that round
2. Most number of kills that round
3. Highest all time net points (not including current round)
4. Least number of saves all time (not including current round)
5. Most number of kills all time (not including current round)

If two or more shows are still tied, the next day will be a sudden death round. You may vote to kill ONE of the shows. You may only vote for one of the shows that are tied.

Doesn't read OPs, especially not his own
wha, where is this, where am I? who are you?
I havent been in the toonami thread today, there were 2 other threads like this?

Should the voting only be based on the episodes that Toonami has aired or should it account for the entire show?

For example, Toonami started airing One Piece at episode 207 (I know that it aired a few more episodes some years ago, but I'm just pointing out an example). Should we also factor in the first 206 episodes? What about all the future episodes that haven't aired yet?

EDIT: Also, I think to mitigate PM campaigns you can just make it so that you can only submit a vote via PM (unless that would mean you'd be staying up until 4AM). That way, no one would know who is voting for what, or even if they're voting at all.

I'll leave it up to the person doing the voting to decide that.

I don't see how we could enforce it unless people rat out people that are doing the PMing... and that would still be messy. Personally, I say let it be.

I just accept that stuff like this comes with the territory of voting on the internet.

Toonami aired most of the first 206 episodes of what they called "One Piece."

If this were to happen, how would someone know if a show they liked was in danger so they could cast a save vote?

Oh that's right I forgot B:TAS aired on Toonami years ago. I guess that's going to sweep the contest :/ I agree with consensus that it's an EXCELLENT show but I also think its at the same time "overrated" and that there are other shows on this list I enjoyed more :/ Ah well, that's the nature of polls :)

Before voting begins, are there any questions or concerns? Have I missed a show somehow? Lay em on me.

I was going to point out a few shows but further research shows that they aired on Adult Swim (long before it absorbed Toonami) and not on a variation of Toonami proper :p

Ah, yeah, that is a problem.

Well, that's all I got. I can't think of another solution to this.

EDIT: Actually, maybe at specified intervals you can announce who's in the Top 5? That doesn't sound feasible due to the significant time investment, though.

I wouldn't say this is a given. The context of Toonami is different from the 90's as a whole. For example, DBZ was voted out early in the top 10 of 90's survivor, but no one would argue that it isn't the show most synonymous with Toonami. There are also several shows here with large fanbases.

A miserable pile of secrets.

Yeah this isn't really possible at 12 in the morning.

I updated the OP with a new rule that I just remembered after seeing a lot of people post that they were changing their votes instead of editing their original vote post in the last thread:

5. If you wish to change your vote, edit your original post. Posts later in the thread stating that you are changing your vote will be ignored.

Voting starts in 2 hours.

How are you gonna solve ties in this thread?
In my thread, It was just whichever show got the most votes would be saved, but if you want to figure out another way you can.

I probably should have done this earlier, but the total number of shows is odd.

Therefore, 3 shows will be eliminated in Round 1.

Bane? Get them on board, I'll call it in.
What is a Toonami show?

I take it you're not from the states?
Toonami is a television block on Cartoon Network/Adult Swim that specializes in action cartoons.
It played a major role in the anime boom of the late 90's/early 2000's, bringing in fan favorites like DBZ, Sailor Moon and Naruto.
It was cancelled in 2008 when Cartoon Network lost their shit and tried to be Nickelodeon 2.0. But on April 1st 2012, Adult Swim held a special airing of Toonami that re-invigorated interest in the block. One month later, Toonami returned to the airwaves and has been growing and growing since with no signs of stopping.

Kill: Sword Art Online
Kill: Sword Art Online

Crush on her cousinbrother, enough said.

Save: Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Kill: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Kill: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
Save: Sword Art Online

Might as well give SAO its only save before the rest of the filthy beater haters maliciously kill it off. As for Clone Wars, it's Star Wars; therefore it sucks

Kill: Bakugan Battle Brawlers - insulting to the legacy of Toonami to have this trash on the block
Kill: Wulin Warriors - it aired one episode.
Save: Transformers: Armada - much better than people give it credit for

Amikami

Kill: Tenchi Muyo! GXP - was just not good.
Kill: Thundercats 2011 - started out good but its decline and conclusion left a bitter taste
Save: Ronin Wariors - old and I think nostalgia make me look back and love it.

Thundercats was such a bore and a crappy twist/ending that will never be resolved to boot.

OP I love this thread concept but I just have a small feeling that 44 days of voting is a little too long in the tooth. Any way we could cull down the list quickly? Just thinking out loud.

Kill:Bleach- Way too much fillers and overall pretty boring.
Kill:Naruto- Better than Bleach but also still pretty boring.

I would have 4 shows eliminated for a while if I wasn't concerned that anything more than 2 leads to a few votes killing off a show.

Also OP remember when that in order for us to view the all times results, You need to open up the Google Doc by changing the permissions.

Kill: IGPX
Never got into this show.
Kill: Star Wars: The Clone Wars
I thought Toonami was about Anime.
Save: Bleach
I really enjoyed it. (Except for some of the fillers)
