Miyamoto, Kojima and now YOU have hinted as much... should be interesting.
Miyamoto and Kojima hinted at this? link please.

unless you're just reffering to them talking about wanting to work again in the future back in the Twin Snakes days.

1. Resident Evil 4 looks better on PS2 than GC. (im-fucking-possible)
2. The Revolution is playable. (cool)
3. Pokemon Diamond and Pearl shipping this Christmas. (cya, PSP)

1. Wall Guy leaves wall.
2. Nintendo announces Nintendogs Classic Series for DS: 1 dog, $20 a pop.
3. Reggie, ever the philanthropist, actually GIVES J Allard a name.

1. Revolution Smash Bros shown featuring a simultaneous 64 player stadium battle played online. Game able to be played on the floor on 64 linked units.

Ya know...I've thought about this. If Revoltion is wireless, what's to say it'll be limited to 4 players...suppossedly some games will be up to 16 players on NDS...so why not Revolution. Smash Bros. would be the PERFECT game for that too!

Calming myself.

These are my E3 pre-show predictions:

360- they already spewed it, nothing new, maybe solid details on BC w/ X-BOX or PC games, but I doubt it, they do a rushjob to show something about the next Halo, maybe some kind of exclussive deal (GTA4) not known about yet, they talk big, but flounder...however, won't stop the stupid American media from lap it up

PS3- won't be boring this year (shocker), something about PSP...talking about how it's got new games but they'll put an emphesis on it's other abilities (UMD's, Memory Stick, WiFi), PS3 will also play the "innovation" card with possibly built-in eyetoy and a unique controller, possibly sealing the deal on a BR + HD-DVD format launching with PS3, talks about an X-BOX Live! killer, jokes about MS's "HD-era" without a next generation disc format, console shell (not real) is shown to give us an idea on what it looks like, console specs are awesome, demo's/games/support shown

REV- surprize GCN titles, George boasts about how MS is ditching the first X-BOX too soon leaving GCN the room to possition Nintendo into a clear 2ND place going into next generation, new GBA (WiFi, SD Card support), Nintendo's "no line" NDS network explained (Animal Crossing, Metroid, new Mana game, Mario Kart, etc. all online), Nintendo shows a sales graph showing how Nintendog's has outsold all PSP software in Japan by itself, this all leads up to Revolution where they show that both the new GBA & the "no line" network will play a big part with it, they show a Revolution developer reel (like last year's NDS unveiling) with some surprize interveiws like Mr. Kojima & big western developers, big SE support ensues, Mr. Mikami working with/at Nintendo working on exclussive new mature themed games, console is shown and hopefully the mainstream will take notice that Nintendo HAS changed by how pretty it looks, wireless connection to multiple screens confirmed Reggie boasts about how the system not only offers new ways to play but is ALSO more powerful than 360, Mr. Iwata comes out and teases us about the revolutionary features/specs...wait 'til SpaceWorld...then they show a demo reel and when you think it's over...surprize game: new Mario running on Revolution in real time being played by Mr. Miyamoto who controls Mario's movements via wireless gyro motion controls...however the controller is NOT shown leaving us all wanting more...show ends, massive cheers, Nintendo strikes back...

That actually sounds plausible

I FVCKIN' KNEW IT! I wanted a Mana game on NDS, but I'll take a GCN one too...unless...you mean they're working on the new PokeMon? Naaaa. Anyways, I think there's going to be more GCN surprize games there too...there's the rumored CAMELOT game, Sonic exclussive & VF game too...

Oh yeah, and I don't think Mr. Kojima has hinted Nintendo support so much, but Sony/Konami are probably pressuring him into MGS4 when it was obvious he didn't wanna do MGS3 on PS2. Could cause him to "find himself" and I think Revolution will be the perfect outlet for that.

You do realise that he's going to have very little to do with MGS4, right?

based on what he's said about the DS, he's definitely looking for a challenge, and being forced to think outside the box. Revolution should definitely provide that for him.

im pretty sure he's gonna take a good crack at it.

SolidSnakex said:

Exactly...that's part of my point. I know you're a big fan of the series and know more about it than me. Do you remember the interveiw where he *clearly states* that since MGS1 was on PS1 & MGS2 was on PS2 that he wanted MGS3 to be on PS3...but instead...Sony/Konami put pressure on him/his team to work on MGS3 on PS2 instead. Something I don't think he really wanted to do...and it shows, since he has sorta taken a big step back on MGS4. Think about it.

He's been wanting to take a step back from the series since MGS1. It's too much pressure for him. After MGS2 he was all ready to hand over the series to someone else but no one wanted to take it over so he went ahead with MGS3. The reason he didn't want to do it on current gen systems was because he didn't think the graphic leap over MGS2 would be enough to please fans of the series.

I really doubt he'd take it out on Konami for having him do the game on the PS2. He's said in the past that being the vice pres of KCEJ (which is now gone but looks like its going to reform as Kojima Productions) has him in the position where he's got to think about what's best for the company even though he might want to do something else. Which is the main reason why we haven't seen alot of his crazier ideas.

I don't doubt he's all MGSed out...I remember when X-BOX was unveiled and Konima was convinced (paid) to support it with the "next" MGS game. He had just finnished MGS2 and there was lot's of supposed "mistranslations" on what the game would actually be. MS hyped it like it was the next one, he obviously didn't even wanna be involved with it, so when Konami made him he did an enhanced MGS, then, the same game was brought to PS2 as Substance with a making of DVD. It's obvious, he wanted to keep the game where the fans were.

Then he made the comments about how he wanted to save MG3 for PS3. This was around the time he & Mr. Mikami were chummy chummy and I think they joked with each on who's remake would sell better, RE or MGS. Nintendo, Mr. Kojima & SK collaborated on MGS:TTS. But I heard Kenny was pissed and threw a hissy so instead of being involved with MGS:TTS, Mr. Kojima was convinced (told) to make MGS3 for PS2. Much in the same fasion CAPCOM was convinced (told) by Sony to make RE3 for PS1 when RE:CV was being made for the rival DreamCast. And again Sony also convinced (told) CAPCOM to announce RE4 was coming to PS2...not only before the GCN version released, but also before the holiday shopping season last year.

So, Mr. Kojima wanted to do:
-MGS1 for PS1
-MGS2 for PS2
-MGS3 for PS3
but instead got sorta bitched into also doing:
-MGS2:S for X-BOX
-MGS2:S for PS2
-MGS:TTS for GCN
-MGS3 for PS2
so really, you can't blame the guy for wanting to take a step back...and in that time I think he's gonna try to possition himself away from selling out to MS or being told what to do by Sony. So let the quirky Nintendo projects ensue.

Kutaragi lifts a veil covering a display to reveal....an Xbox 360!! Bill Gates walks out from backstage. Arms interlocked, together they announced the Sony & Microsoft partnership. Bill Gates then gives Kutaragi a kiss while reaching behind and grabbing Kutaragi's ass.

"My resignation?" Kutaragi gives allard a kick on the ass pushing him towards a pile of xbox sized twinkies.

fixed

1) Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all shake hands and tell fans to stop bitchin
2) While no one looks Reggie crosses his fingers behind his back whilst Ken Kutargi (sp) makes bunny ears behind Allards head.
3) Gizmondo steals Hardware and Software of the show awards

YEAH
i know won't happen, but neither will 99% of this topic

1. Sony shows some real-life footage and claims that's how PS3 games will look like
2. SQEX publishes for 360, one PS2 port and one exclusive sequel of an old franchise
3. Sega shows new arcade board

The new LOZ will more than live up to expectations. The DS will have games galore, some supporting quite innovative stylus usage. Big Square Nintendo support announcements.

Since like 8 of 9 Xbox fans think Square will support the 360, the megaton announcement would be a lack of enthusiasm and or an announcement from Square about 360 while they continue to make cryptic remarks about Revolution.

cryptic?

they're making online games for both of their systems. i guarentee that. infact, so does everyone else. including people that don't want Square to support Nintendo for whatever reasons.

that's how guarenteed it is.

It depends what kind of games though? Crystal Chronicals is techinally a SE game, but didn't exactly get the PS2 hordes jumping ship.

They need some big guns to make a difference. Not exclusive, just on their platform.

i didn't comment on whether they'd make a difference or not. but they are infact making online games for both systems right now.

not to mention the circumstances are different this time around. there's no bargaining going on. Nintendo isn't really paying, and Square genuinely wants to make games for the system. the ball isn't in anyones court, so Square will more than likely make something that's good for business, not something that'll allow them to get into GBA's pants.

as for what's in the works for DS, well, Crystal Chronicles actually seems like a very natural fit for the system, and im expecting great things from it. not a fan of Square, but it could be the closest thing we get to PSO on the system for a while. but who knows.

Square Enix to support Xbox 360 with exclusive content
Next Gen GTA exclusively on Xbox 360
Sega announcing Shenmue 3 for a next gen console

Square-Enix and their PlayOnline service is guarenteed on the NDS and I would expect it on the Revolution as well. Hell, I would love a MMORPG where I could play on my big screen HDTV at home, and then play a lower-quality version on the go on my NDS. They speculated this back during the GCN-GBA connectivity, I expect it to grow tremendously now that everything is wireless.

On Nintendo's Revolution/Gamecube side, I expect video's of SSB3, Mario Kart GPX (GCN port announced), new 3D Mario, new Retro project. Surprise franchise resurrection?

Of DS: Online infrastructure revealed (already guarenteed to be there), Metroid Hunters, new Metroid, Fire Emblem DS, Zelda DS.

If PS3 is revealed, I expect Revolution to be revealed. Nintendo will follow Sony's hand, not Microsoft's.

On Sony's PS3 side: More Cell talk, perhaps unveiling to counter 360 a bit. Twisted Metal, Wipeout, other Sony 1st party franchises unveiled in video form.

On Sony's PSP side: GTA PSP shown. Everything else doesn't matter.

On Microsoft in general: Nothing we haven't seen already.

MGS4 teaser is almost a given.

FFXII shown some more, though more emphasis on KH2. Perhaps KH1 port to GCN thanks to strong GBA KH:CoM sales?

There should be an image pattern based search engine. I'm sure I remember some movie or game character that is extremly close to it, but I can't remember what exactly it was.

Revolution

can't you see the resemblance????

its sooooooooo clear you guys are sooo dumb for not figuring it out yet.... start writing it down, cuz I know I'll get killed for this..

1.There's a change in the next PS..
2.Revolution is not a console.. its just tooooo small to be a next gen console

conclusion

Revolution is the unite of Sony and Nintendo, and REV is actually an addon to PS3

what's that good for?

-Sony gets Nintendo's fans
-Nintendo gets to sell their addon as a saparate console (so they don't have to fight with Sony for a share from the hardware revenue)
-X360 d00m3d
-everybody is happy
