I always wonder what the family must really be going through in situations like this - I mean for the reporters the family is all supportive. But how does a wife feel? How do the kids really feel? Must be really confusing and also a bit of a gut punch to the wife?

I worked with a guy up until recently who I got to know and he was telling me how he is gay and he's married with kids. I asked him about that and how does that dynamic work and he just didn't really seem to care much, like he was happy to be gay while also having the family life of a straight man.
