Hey, I'll probably be down for this meetup.

I can throw out a suggestion for the Annex area. East of Brunswick which is near Spadina subway at Bloor St. http://fabrestaurants.ca/restaurant/east-of-brunswick/

I passed by a few days ago and it seemed like a good spot that can cater to our turnouts and is close to Koreatown for those who want KFC after.

Looks like a good replacement for Victory (RIP)

Plus it has a couple of (possibly not broken) pinball machines.

Oh, forgot that on the weekends they have live music so that might cramp our Bomberman tourney.
 
Gonna bring a Vancouver friend who happens to be visiting that weekend.

+1 for East of Brunswick. I'm down with trying something new and live music sounds cool.
 
Ok I'm alive. Sorry, I play games that make me lethargic.

I didn't think the Switch tourney would be a main focus but if people really want it, I'll try to pick with that in mind first. There seems to be decent weather next week but I just hope it doesn't rain personally. I remembered Power Up just now but also remembered the food prices to what they gave, so it would be just drinks for me and food later. I'm also forgetting other places like Clinton's so Imma have to browse past meetup threads lol

tbh I'd also like to do Switch stuff so I'll look for that in mind first but lemme know if you think there's another place you th

I don't think it should have a big impact. Maybe no 1-2 Switch but Bomberman shouldn't be an issue.

All I'll do is just put my controller down and watch as everyone kills themselves...! :D
 
Then East of Brunswick it is. I like their menu too so I'll give that a try. I'll update in a bit, still being sad and playing games
 
ehhh this booking page for East of Brunswick has a 15 minimum for online bookings and below that is call-in to reserve. I'm seeing 14 so far and then some maybes so I can probably skew this higher.

Also can book it as a cocktail reception, lol

Alright, booked it for 17 so far. We'll see if they get back to me, otherwise I'll scrap that and move onto something else.
 
I am definitely going to try and make this but just a heads up this cold doesn't want to go away. Hope that the Friday off and just taking it easy this week will help.
 
I'm going to need someone to at least bring a set of Joycons for 4 player Bomberman action.

Can someone do that for me please?
 
I got you covered with my 4 JoyCons. I was planning on bringing my Switch too w/ Bomberman, lemme know if you need it.

They got back to me, do we want a shared bill? I think they default to split bill but I'll consider asking. And the a la carte menu lol, just gimme the nachos.

We usually do shared since we generally share nachos etc....

I actually haven't even been following hockey this season besides when we happen to catch a game during a meetup. I just looked it up earlier and Vancouver totally just came last place in the NHL gg

edit: not that it really matters since we're all familiar with the place but just in case there are newcomers/lurkers, the address for Ajuker is 680 Bloor St. W

We'll drink soju in your honour Vancouver. But to honour all of that we'll run the place out before we get through everything.

Forgot to include pre meet-up. Tims is apparently popular with old folks so RIP? I swear if more people show up than that one time we can just take over and make that our place.

Well, there's a Beer Store next door to East of Brunswick and a nearby alley for discreet public drinking. Or if you prefer higher class, there's also Shoeless Joe's on the same block.
 
I'm now a maybe.

My expectations were the Raptors would play at 12:30pm like always and I'd be free but now the game is at 5:30pm and I'll be there.

So I'll try my best to meet up with you guys after the game is over.

Chris' birthday plans means I'll miss this one. We were suppose to go out today, but.. scheduling hiccups.

Can't believe I'm missing a meetup with the Raps in the playoffs and kave coming..

That's a tiny Tim Hortons. Probably unlikely to grab a spot. Maybe try the Second Cup across the street at the JCC, there are a few tables outside the cafe.

It's inside the Jewish community centre. But any coffee shop in the area is usually busy.

I got last second tickets to this afternoon's Blue Jays game so I'll probably join the meetup around 7-ish.
 
I'll be down at the Starbucks at 5:30 so around that time would be fine I imagine. Smiley gets to find something to do in the meantime.
