So far the protests have been peaceful here so that’s good. It’s too bad the entire city had to be boarded up as a precaution.

I read that the only reason they started boarding up was because insurance companies told them that if their storefronts got damaged due to protests or riots then they wouldn't be covered. Who knows though. Hopefully they're peaceful.

from what I understand insurance companies stated they would not cover any damages unless some effort had been made to mitigate possible rioting. So pretty much every business started boarding up, and then who wants to be the one business not boarded up right.
