Toukiden 2 |OT| Action Hunting Gameplay Feat. Open World

yeha I know, still cant get any lol.

this Ruins thing is hard, im only up to floor 5 and already half dead with little skills left ;_;

edit: oh shit I just got a refill, I think from that little thing you pray at? :o

edit: theres one on each floor too lol >_<

haha those little refill obelisks are key!

did another run to 10 floors because I fucked up leaving after the 5th heh. That is really fun, I can totally see the appeal of these "type" of games tbh.

I got 10 hours and I feel like Ive barely done anything, as far as I know im still on chapter 1 >_>

Fullscreen is actually borderleas window for me, I can freely use my second screen without affecting the game

Oh yeah, you're right! However it minimizes (then re-mazimizes) the screen if I alt tab then click my mouse on the screen lmao.

I'm assuming all weapons are equally viable? Im enjoying the daggers and kusari so far, trying the naginata now.

So when monsters grow back their limbs they are transparent, is that so you cant cut them again to get more mats?

Equip goes up to rank 6 in this game, while it went until 9 on the previous entries. People think T2 Kiwami will give us more ranks.

Either way, Kiwami JP was announced 2 months after we got AoD, and T2 around the same time after we got Kiwami. So maybe wait until May to see if they announce something.
Okay, cool. Thank you.

how many chapters is the game? Just got to Chapter 2.

My friend said there are 6 chapter, much like the original Toukiden. Of course there will optional post game content where the monsters are buffed up (actually main part of the game, the story is just tutorial :p).

so im really liking the game. Much more than I expected actually, and its making me want to boot up God Eater after I finish this one.

edit: map is pretty big, just had a long trek down in the snowy zone to get to a story quest, a few big oni on the way, fun stuff. Actually got there a bit close to being full on miasma too.

My character died from exposure and I totally had no idea what happened for a few seconds. Haha. Game pulled me away from Zelda and I wasn't expecting that.

Both my Vita and PS4 copies finally showed up (Couldn't get any in NZ so had to import from the UK). I loved Age of Demons and Kiwami, and the demo was promising. Only played a little into chapter 2 last night but it seems promising. The ruins diving thing seems like a cool twist on infinite missions. And I'm happy that you can
cleanse the otherworld, was a bit worried about the time limit in the open world thing from the demo.
. Rocking my mainstay from the previous entries: Chain and sickle with SPD primary mitama, the almost infinite air time and extended reach of the demon hand is kinda great.

when the fuck do Venom Queens show up? I can go above +3 now and ive been needing wind spirits for ages and I still havent seen any, nor out an about nor in the instanced missions :(

It took me 3 wipes to realize what exposure death even was. I tried doing the guild mission with the
scytheclaws, bird tengu, and the huge club oni
and kept dying without getting hit, had no idea i was actually timing out. They don't really explain or visualize it well. Your HP just tanks and then you get kicked back to the loading screen.

Also, screw that Oni in particular. Especially if one of the NPCs accidentally perma-break it's leg and it goes into super annoying moveset mode. That thing is the only Oni i've died from so far.

I think I've found my optimal build with Sword and DCT/DEF/DCT mitama. Basically, i do a 4 hit combo to store the sword energy, drop the def reducing needles, pop the poison buff for guaranteed crits, go invis, and then charge up a full charge on the Y attack. I have broken many an appendage with this tactic, as well as delivered many final blows, so it must be doing pretty significant damage. The DEF support mitama is basically only there for the boost that decreases charge time. Then when the Oni is wriggling on the ground, I pop the gouge skill from Sword and go to town. It's a lot of fun.

The missions you can choose with the receptionist Kazue. These are not specifically Online missions but are the same ones you can play online. Either Phase 3 or 4 i don't remember though.

Oh you scared me for a sec, I dont really have any interest in online

Loving this so far. MH guns always scared me with how expensive and inefficient they were, so took this opportunity to go Rifle and really enjoying it. Mainly sniper so far but the pierce love here is swaying me, even though I love the risk/reward of the sniper grenade adding bonus damage if you can land AND shoot the grenade. Porthminster on PSN if anyone feels like adding - Phase 10 and could probably walk the rest of it with just the ghosts of OP randoms that have joined my lobbies, but it's way more fun with real people.

Online mode has more missions, though (it's the endgame), and you can do them offline with AI just fine.
Go to the teleport stone in town or one of your bases > head to other headquarters > single player. There's a separate progression from single player, but you can advance through phases (online equivalent of chapters) by clearing just the red missions.

Again, you can do then with AI and without an internet connection.

when the fuck do Venom Queens show up?

You can either find and kill them in the overworld to make them a thing in regular missions (or in a ruins mission) OR beat one in the online/pretend online mode and they should pop up in your offline missions.

Shit is fun, I just made a full set of armor from the
Brutebeast
a few hours ago.

its so weird that there is a whole seperate mission and ruins path in this "online but not really" section

Manazuru makes me miss Kiwami Nagi. Not only for the whole map heal (which was op), but Nagi had a better sense of when to use the mass ressurect.

Phase 11 is getting tough with AI, might need to jump online sooinsh.

Is there any upside to the Sword? Literally brute-forcing my way through chapter 1 playing it. It's so...unsatisfying to play. Still not sure if I'm doing the gouge correctly...

Loved the Naginata in Kiwami but I really want to play this game with a different weapon to differentiate the two games.
