Hats off to Rodríguez, have enjoyed watching him race over the years and finishing 7th on his last Tour was a nice way to go out
Also a doff of the cap to Sam Bennett the Lanterne Rouge, who crashed on the very first stage breaking fingers but managed to battle through to Paris

can't remember a Tour with such little GC tension though, it just seemed to glide by with everyone unwilling or (more likely) unable to disrupt the inexorable Sky machine.
