This is definitely Cronenberg trying to hit mainstream, but that's alright, because for you Cronenberg elitists, you should know that advance screenings have said its violent scenes are extremely grotesque (and violent!) and the sex scenes are so hot that they'll probably have to be trimmed down to avoid a NC-17 rating. Go Cronenberg!

But everyone at Cannes said it was an amazing flick and that everyone turned in some terrific performances.

Yeah, unless Aragorn starts melting people's hands with his puke while having sex with them in crashed cars....I dunno.

LoL.

Oh Im sure its a solid movie, it has some kick ass actors, just story wise it doesnt seem like Cronenberg.. Im sure we will see glimpses of his work in there though.

That's funny. Extreme violence = R but sex = NO!

Haven't you realized that's how the MPAA works? Team America: World Police is a great example of this. It had nothing but puppets killing each other with blood splattering everywhere, an already ludicrous bit, but the MPAA gets up in arms about two puppets who are not even anatomically correct having sex?

It's the American code of ethics. Violence is good and sex is bad.

Woah. That reporter.... didn't he use to work for TSN??

But yeah, looks awesome. No hard on for Cronenberg here, so I see nothing wrong.
