A copy of the game
An art book featuring over 100 pages of art from the game as well as its sequel, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II
A 1.5” pin displaying the emblem of the country of Erebonia
A custom collectible clamshell-type box that will also be able to house the sequel when it releases in 2016 so that collectors can store the initial Cold Steel duology in a single package

Looks like it's North America only for now. No pre-order link yet, will update the thread when it goes up.

According to XSEED there will be a PS3 version of this LE as well!!!

Only being $10 more is pretty sweet. I guess it will have a space for the second game when that releases in 2016.

I'm triple dipping day 1, I'm soooo happy we're getting this game.

Take all my money Xseed, ALL OF IT!

It's a shame that there's no soundtrack but I already own the OST so it's not a problem for me.

Edit: And the new cover looks great.

No soundtrack of any kind? Boooooooooooo.

Though I'll probably end up buying the full OST anyway at some point in the near future

And I will probably buy this LE regardless

This makes it sound like there won't be a limited edition for CS2.

I already preordered it on PS3.
I hope there is a PS3 LE too since it has been a long time that I have played a JRPG on the big screen.

Here's to hoping VGplus get the CE so I can import it.

And yeah, I'm really wondering what game will release first between TitS SC and this.

Wait, was CS2 confirmed for localization already??
Pretty sure they announced both at the same time.

November 17th is what it's listed as almost everywhere.
Didn't XSEED confirm the date was a placeholder (in the right ballpark) while they solidified the release date?

This. I hope we Europeans will get something similar.
You'll get it far cheaper & sooner by importing from somewhere like Videogamesplus than ordering one of NISA Store's exclusive Collector's Editions. This will probably be 60€ + 25€ p&p costs through NISA.

I swear if this comes out before SC I'm cancelling my pre-order. I'll wait and pick it up when it's reduced (and I've had chance to play SC).

Torn between the PS3 or Vita version. How much better will the PS3 one look? I own a VitaTV so it would be swell to be able to play it in my 46" HDTV or my Vita but if the PS3 looks considerably better I don't know....

Already pre-ordered standard but I'm switching as soon as pre-orders are up. I wouldn't have even cared but the fact that it can be used for the sequel as well when it comes out kinda put it over the top for me.

Xseed doing it right. Squeenix, take notes.

So is this the second chapter of PSP's The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky?
Please guide me GAF.

Nope, that is from a completely different arc. That will be releasing digital on PSP and PC as far as I know.

This is from a much later arc in the series.

No. The order of the Kiseki games is as follows:

Trails in the Sky (Sora no Kiseki) FC - released by XSEED on PSP and PC
Trails in the Sky SC - will be released by XSEED on PSP and PC sometime in the future
Trails in the Sky 3rd Chapter
Zero no Kiseki
Ao no Kiseki
Trails of Cold Steel/Sen no Kiseki - this game
Trails on Cold Steel II - will be released by XSEED on PS3 and Vita sometime in the future

So what the point by releasing this one by skipping the others? Is this serie like FF games where the stories aren't related?

Different characters in a different location with a different story arc that can be enjoyed even if you haven't played earlier games (though you'll miss some of the depth of the story & references to things in the other games).

Nice, definitely changing my pre-order to this once it's up. Haven't cared enough to actually want a Limited Edition in quite a while. Of course, it helps that it's not insanely overpriced like most of these things tend to be.

No, they're all related. Here's how the split works from what I know.

Games 1 and 2 are their own complete story. Game 3 is a sequel to games 1 and 2 with the same cast, but also sets up future plot developments in later games.

Games 4 and 5 (Zero and Ao) are their own story arc. It stands on its own, but there are some events in this game related to previous games.

Games 6 and 7 are their own story arc. They mostly stand on their own up until near the end of game 7, where characters from games 4 and 5 come into play (including straight up spoilers for some pretty major stuff). Due to the way game 7 ends the next game will likely continue this story arc and may bring more things from games 4 and 5 into play.

The third, fourth, and fifth games aren't being localized because Sen is more marketable with its more modern presentation and is available on "current" consoles. This is despite Zero and Ao being considered the best games in the series by most series fans that I know.
