Just to see what all the fuss was about, I bought Densha de Go 3. What a mistake that was.
The graphics were just atrocious, but that wasn't nearly as shocking as how purely difficult the game was. The amount of time and distance lee-way you're given between stops is painfully precise; miss a stop by more than 3m or 2 seconds and you've pretty much fucked yourself over for the entire game.
But I could see the appeal of something like this for graphics alone; to me it'd be a better experience than assembling a model train set.
