Train to Busan 2 : Peninsula (teaser)

I like the first one so probably will catch this one when it's on Netflix or something. thou this seems to follow that whole "for the sequel we need to go bigger and more expensive" train of thought which to be honest is not the right move a lot of the times. I like the first one mainly because a lot of it is set in the limited space of a train and later the train station/yard. putting this new one out in the open seems to kinda defeat that purpose. hopefully it'll prove me wrong and still come out good instead of becoming some sorta Korean SyFy zombie flick.

I think the director will not disappoint us.

He knows how to put the audience on the edge of their chairs!

It looked awesome to me and I love the whole
The Thing style merged zombie thing going on

I just hope they do the characters right because what Train to Busan excelled at was how it handled characters.

Completely agree, it's super emotional and dramatic.

Great plot for a zombie movie!

The thing that concerns me is that
most of the great characters died in Train, I loved the mobster character and while the dad character started out as kind of an asshole he had a fairly redeeming arc. But yeah it almost brought a tear in my eye when the mobster guy got it.

I sort of see Netflix's Kingdom as a spiritual successor to Train to Busan.

Both have a slow roll into a fast zombie plot that gets out of hand but also focuses on the characters and human nature that's at the core of good zombie movies/shows.

I'm not sure how natural it would be to put fast zombies in scenarios previously reserved for slow zombies, like gladiator pits.

I'll watch it. They clearly wanted to take a risk in how they approached a second film so we'll see how it plays out.
