Transferring everything from a laptop to a desktop

Well, I don't think there's a lot of stuff on the laptop (it's my friend's, so I'm not sure), so I guess burning it to CDs would indeed be the easiest. I just wasn't sure if there was a way to kind of like....."backup" everything on the hard drive and load it onto the laptop, as opposed to just selecting a bunch of stuff, burning it to a cd, repeating, etc.

Well, if you've got the equipment for it, you could always network the computers together and just dump everything at once.

Yeah, the crossover cable suggestion would work great if you don't already have a network of some kind. If they are both on a network, that's the best way to go.

What you say is absolutely true, but I got to incorporate the phrase "ASS TO ASS" in a post so I win. :D
