Because the movie was awesome

Yes they did some of the coolest things for mercantile reasons, but that doesn't stop it from being great as a standalone thing. Film also had an incredible soundtrack as well.

The only thing I wish they did different was leave in the proper quartering of Ultra Magnus by the sweeps. It's still in the comic book adaptation though.
 
I still want to read the Dreamwave comics of TF, but they're super expensive in The Netherlands, like 60 euros for 1 omnibus...

Are the IDW comics that pricey too?
 
I didn't really like the dreamwave stuff personally (though their autobot/decepticon character compendiums were awesome).

Simon Furman's Marvel run is still my favourite transformers comic work.
 
Hmm maybe I'm mixing up the DW and IDW comics. I do remember importing some DW posters of TF because of the awesome artstyle, I still have the Decepticons group poster:

To be fair, the first few times I saw Fort Max in IDW I was more than ready for him to kick some ass. Then he was thrown to the dogs by Overlord as a mangled mess and I found myself pitying the largest TF toy of all time (ignoring new Metroplex). I just can't respect that!!

Thinking about it, Max's finest hour was probably being ridiculed by Whirl in Rungs office. That gave me a good chuckle!

Robots in Disguise is OK and can be read alongside MTMTE Vol. 1, but MTMTE is generally the much better comic.

MTMTE is gonna be my #1 comic series 2 years running!

The cheesy dialogue is kind of dehyping me. It's alright if it happens in cutscenes, but I don't really have to hear about puny Decepticons every ten seconds. They're not even that puny! Have you seen those Insecticons!?

For all that is holy, everyone listen to this man. MTMTE is one of the best comics of all time, let alone Transformers comics. It makes everything else look like a five year old's fanfiction.
 
I'm not a Transformers fan, but I am a fan of stylish character action games made with love, and this looks fantastic.

I love comics.

I know nothing about Transformers.

I'm eagerly awaiting this game.

Does Dark Cybertron only have 2 volumes?

Is Best Buy getting the preorder DLC? Does it come packaged with the game itself? I know Amazon and GS have codes separate from the box, but Best Buy doesn't mention the preorder bonus.
 
I'm excited about the final boss of this game. Korra was a fairly uneventful game but it still managed to have a pretty epic, full-on Platinum Games-y final boss. This game seems to fire on all cylinders from the very first level and have a bigger budget overall, so I hope the final boss in this will blow some minds.

The first boss being Devastator is going to set expectations up too. But then again, Metal Gear Rising opened with a Ray fight and ended with a super amazing final boss fight, so hopefully Saito can do it again here! <3

I once made a TERRIBLE mistake by going there first and Piet Snot afterwards...

Ended up blowing most of my salary on figurines. Next day I was like what the hell!?

Returned most of em, got 400 euro's back..... Scared the crap out of me.

Space Oddity also has the nasty habit of draining my wallet. Haven't been there since the renovated the place though.

Stahp. That movie is a classic.

Classic characters, classic dialogue, classic story, classic soundtrack. It gets better every time I rewatch it.
