Tron: Ares | Official Trailer

So instead of going inside a computer the computer is coming out to the real world? Fair enough, lets just hope it's good because that name is too close to Torn Arse for my liking.
 
I love Tron, it's one of my favorite IPs, but I'm not sure how much I like this "Tron IRL" stuff. I definitely prefer that they keep all of the action and crazy stuff in the computer, unless they have a really good reason, plot-wise, that everything can fully materialize IRL.

Definitely excited for the soundtrack, though I wish it was still Daft Punk.

Anyone else who was introduced to Tron with Kindgom Hearts 2?

Btw, while I don't remember much of the first movie, Tron 2 was a true visual spectacle, and Quorra looked amazing. It was all so futuristic, shiny, and smooth.

I also really liked the modern version of Tron himself.

This trailer seems like it could also be very nice watch.
 
kinda feels by the book "we need to make everything bigger". The whole nice thing is that the aesthetic is inside a computer.

But I don't know these characters.
It'll need absolute raves if I'm going to check it out.
 
Tron Legacy is one of my all time fav films... Don't fuck this up Disney!!!

So far it looks nice,the music sounds good,the visuals are great though it shows how far ahead of time Legacy was where it really doesn't look dated one bit compared to this new one.

We'll see how the story and characters are,nothing you can gauge about that from this short trailer.

Fuck, it was going so damn well until I saw Jared Leto's mug at the end 😓

Would have been great to see Olivia Wilde again in that suit of hers instead.

I'm down for this, though Tron shit in the real world makes no damn sense, UNLESS the 'real world' is actually a simulation and Tron Legacy was a sim within a sim from the get go and this explores that. BALLER! f thats where they are going.

Visually, looks cool. The virtual world seemingly combining with the real world is interesting. But man, I wish Sam and Quorra were back. Apparently this one will be in canon with the first two but won't acknowledge Legacy much which is disappointing. I would hope, even if it's through a quick line of dialogue, Flynn at least makes sure to find out his son is safe rather than just never mentioning him this entire film.
 
Man, this could be great or shit. Leto is a hit and miss kinda dude. Also who the hell is Ares? Where the hell is Tron?
 
I dont watch lots of movies but I'll admit that cool movie trailers can trick me into thinking it's going to be good. And it looks cool.

BUT oddly, when it comes to video game trailers I dont get swayed so easily no matter how good the trailer is. lol

The movie actually looks like it could be fun. I like the idea that the Grid is seeping into the real world.
 
I loved Tron Legacy and was really disappointed when Disney shut down the franchise again. Hopefully this is good, Disney has been making a lot of shitty movies so I will keep expectations in check. Trailer was amazing.
