if the system has release dates, i have no idea how to find them. hell, i couldnt find any games outside of the 'top 20' until i asked a manager how.

up until last week there wasnt anything even listed in the system (though a PSP category has been there for a month now)

i may check out upcoming DS stuff and see whats listed tomorrow

Has EA confirmed the $49.99 price on their games yet? I thought I read that they were still "evaluating" what they were going to price the games at and that they hadn't ruled out the $39 price point.

Then again, it is EA we're talking about here...

Hopefully the PSP follows the PS2 and games will drop in price fairly quickly, not sure how many people will buy portable games for 50 dollars. Hell I don't even remember the last console game I paid full price for, with my backlog I usually just snag good games when I see them on sale.

Frankly, with all these green tag sales i thought TRU was going out of business. i tried calling the one closest to me after the $80 Steel Battalion deal, but the number was disconnected.

TRU won't be taking preorders on PSP, first come first serve on 3/24. There will be a huge section in the video game department set up with PSP stuff. It's getting a whole 8 foot section for the release that will remain there until summer. The Nintendo DS for some reason just got shoved in with the GBA stuff and barely had 4 feet(it was up to stores where to set it).

And atomsk, the PSP Bundle 1 skn is an item that the US stores aren't carrying. Its an international SKN for stores overseas that they do bundles for over there. The only item being sold in the US from TRU is the standard PSP Value Pack at $249.99. Of course I won't be surprised if TRU ends up making people buy a game and an accessory to get a PSP first day.
