Over the last few hours I have quickly realized that I have been running cockblock on one of my friends inadvertantly..

This guy I went to high school with is in a couple of my classes.. we arent great friends or anything but we ran in the same circles back in the day, but for some reason I never noticed that he sorta gave me the cold shoulder in one of the two classes but was really nice to me in the other one. Trying to figure out why I realized that he allways sits next to this girl in the class that he ignores me in... I've never actually seen them talk to each other, until the other day when I overheard them talking about studying for an upcoming midterm... and I guess I sorta invited myself along assuming there was some sort of study group.

When I got there it was just the two of them and I got a general vibe of being unwanted. Its allways been my experience that people actually trying to study for a test try and get a study group going, and when its two people its just them using the test as an excuse to get together . I feel really bad because this guy had alot of trouble with girls back in high school and I assume he isnt much more succesful and Im worried that I have screwed this up for him horribly.

A cockblocker in my book is someone that a) spreads rumors, says bad stuff about you to girl(s), b) tries to get you out of the picture, acts arrogant towards you when target girl(s) is/are around, c) generally doesn't know shit about women, is frustrated and retaliates by being a jackass to you by trying to ruin your game. An ex-boyfriend that's still in the picture is usually grade A cockblocker.

The fact that you feel bad about "ruining" (although I don't know how) your friend's chance is a sure sign of not being a cockblocker.
