how is this not conflict of interest
When the president does it, that means it is not illegal - Nixon.

Can someone explain to a non-American what the issue is with the Keystone pipeline? As far as I know, oil is already being transported from Canada to the US via railways.
I think he's said that he has completely sold all of his stock holdings.

America, you continue to astound me

It runs through native American land. The natives are trying to fight for their land and right to not have the pipe go through but the greedy oil companies just say "fuck you, we got money."
They also show brutality by attacking protestors and reporters, even unprovoked.

Trump's most recent federal disclosure forms, filed in May, show he owned between $15,000 and $50,000 in stock in Texas-based Energy Transfer Partners. That's down from between $500,000 and $1 million a year earlier.
Trump also owns between $100,000 and $250,000 in Phillips 66, which has a one-quarter share of Dakota Access.
So just like with Andrew Jackson: Fuck the native americans
I don't really have a problem with pipelines, it will be better than transportation by train. The Dakota one should be rerouted though.
And it's going to run through one of the largest aquifers in NA
Outside all the environmental issues, it's basically useless with this oil glut too.
Why is this even needed?
Protest time? I hope people show up more and more and they just can't continue.
I hope the natives in Dakota resist with force. This is fucking horrible. They need to do something to where those pipeline workers fear to do the work they are about to do.

So economically how will this help? And who?
I mean that's why they are doing this no matter what? So tell me, if anyone knows.
edit: lol. Yeah it all doesn't make sense. I guess create jobs for the pipeline builders.

Keystone is great news for Alberta.
They should be heavily transitioning into renewables anyway. Alberta puts too many eggs in one basket

Do you remember those people that took over a federal building in ohio? Armed and everything, got slap on the wrist.
I don't think these protestors will be treated the same way.
Thank you trump.
