TRUMP CHILLINGLY REIMAGINED AS JUSTICE LEAGUE'S PRESIDENT LUTHOR

Addressing Trump's interview with David Muir of ABC News, "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" host Jimmy Kimmel last night described the president's comments as "downright menacing at one point," going so far as to evoke Lex Luthor.

"I know people have been saying Trump sounds like a supervillain sometimes," he explained, "but last night he sounded so much like a supervillain, we took his words, and we matched them up with a video from the ‘Justice League' cartoon. Here's what happens when the Man of Steel meets the President of Gold."

The scene is, of course, from the classic 2003 "Justice League" two-part episode "A Better World," which depicts an alternate universe Luthor is elected president, and pushes the country toward a war that could destroy the planet.

In the original episode, the alternate Earth's Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman storm the White House, and the Man of Steel confronts Luthor, saying, "I let it get this far because of the law and the will of the people." President Luthor threatens nuclear war and taunts Superman as his "accomplice," which results in his rather abrupt, and quite permanent, removal from office, and the establishment of the Justice Lords as the rulers of the planet.

I got a good laugh out of this.

Depends. Do you consider Obama to be Superman?

latest

Daily Show did something similar last night, except instead of using Lex, they put Heath Ledger's Joker makeup on Trump.

That world is a mess soundbite is something you'd hear from ra's al ghul lmao. This shit sounds so evil it's pretty scary

Great dub throwing it in the president Luthor episode.

This feels rather awkward given that just a few months ago Trump was invited on to his show for a good ol' fashioned hair rubbing.

Edit: Oh, wait, that was Fallon. I always get those two confused. How bembarrassing, especially since I read the thread title. Stupid brain!

Shit I'd take Lex Luthor, President for Life over one term of Trump

Edit: NOT movie Luthor. Cartoon Luthor or Comics Luthor are both acceptable but Comics Luthor is preferred

I don't watch his show. What has Fallon had to say about this shit show of an administration?

He wasn't pres at the time but Luthor helped blow up New Krypton

Supes could end end him and the US Government just for his foreign policy

I am so fucking pissed that we didn't get Calvin back in mainline especially since they've since nuked Earth-2 which had it's own black superman.

DC needs someone like this to headline shit now more than ever.
He's coming back in another crossover iirc

Also i need to track down his action figure

He leads the Justice League Incarnate-it was created during Multiversity. He just showed up in the recent Superman comics as our Superman met the JLI.

Don't get the luthor comparisons. Luthor is competent and often will listen to reason

A better comparison would be Osborn

And only Osborn when he's Goblin crazy not just "he's off-brand Luthor" like most writers had him during the mid-00's during his Thunderbolts run.

He spent $75 million on a fake presidential campaign just to tick Superman off?

Yes, in fact part of his speech is "do you know how much power i had to give up to get in this office" or something to that effect, at this point it was just some tsundere thing.

Isn't he a self-made man? Doesn't really work either. We need a second gen dude with severe psychological issues who thinks everything has to be remade in his image and throws tantrums on the reg,

So Ultron.

Thanos comes pretty close too, but i feel that he's missing something.

Mentor is a loser

As bad as Luthor is depicted the man was pro science and didn't seem like a religious batshit insane conservative psycho. Isn't that the Justice League where they're in the alternative timeline and Superman melts Lex with his eye lasers? Justice Lord Superman seems almost like an improvement over Trump.

when Luthor was President he was able to negotiate an alliance with Darkseid, DARKSEID. won a war, rebuilt the country and the economy was great!
Luthor is a self made man who believes in reason and science, understands the value of a happy electorate and won't embarrass us on the world stage. and he won't have conflict of interest when it comes to his company and all it's subsidiaries world wide. he handed control of the company over to Talia Head.

LUTHOR/ROSS 2020!!!
