Thats what President Trump said, turning to and shaking the hand of Russian President Vladimir Putin, seated to his right, after saying to the assembled press in Hamburg, Germany, that he looked forward to a lot of very positive things happening, for Russia, for the United States, and for everybody concerned.
Trump said he and the Russian leader had had some very, very good talks and had been discussing various things and that will continue.
Putin, for his part, said he hoped to discuss with Trump the biggest issues in U.S.-Russian relations and global affairs, the Wall Street Journal reported.
Trump national-security adviser H.R. McMaster had told reporters ahead of the G-20 gathering that no specific agenda had been set for the sideline meeting with Putin. Its whatever the president wants to talk about, McMaster was quoted as having said.
