This should be good one. If they find proof of that there was fraud and cost him votes then we know it was biased investigation. If they don't find anything then Trump just has made fool of himself, again.

Infant. Why did they start letting him use twitter again? Isn't an unlocked phone insanely dangerous for the president to use?

You might have misinterpreted that tweet OP

Looks like he wants to investigate voters who are registered in two states, not investigate two entire states

Edit two topics were combined lol

Will they only be investigating alternate facts or real facts?

As long as people suspect fraud or even hint at it, he has them distracted from the overwhelming popular vote.

Hills should have requested a recount.

Well, at least this could put this issue to bed. If there is fraud, it should be dealt with. If not.........hopefully that's the end of it for now.

A setup for making it harder for people to vote and to pass racist voting laws across the entire country. All it will amount to.

So let me get this straight: when people demanded a recount in wisconsin, pennsylvania, and michigan, we just needed to "get over it!" but now because Trump has sour grapes its a-ok?

He's not targeting two specific states if I'm parsing correctly, but rather those registered in multiple states (due to moving).

And when they don't find anything, they'll make up some facts to appease the great leader, which would lead to changes in the voting rules, making it harder for everyone
minorities
to vote.

Sounds very familiar to me.

This increasingly feels like something they're going to lie about and use to create voter suppression laws.
They've already done that. In fact, pretty much anytime someone says "voter fraud" you can bet it's because they're trying to stifle the voting process for people that don't vote for them.

Republican politicians are filthy, evil people.

Trump is just bringing Republican policy RE: Voting rights, gerrymandering and identification laws to the executive level now.

The results will say whatever he wants probably.

This might be a silly question but is the right to vote a constitutional right in the US similar to freedom of speech?

Incoming voter ID laws and Sessions doing the work

It's plainly transparent despite him and his actions being obfuscated as hell. Media and the citizens need to not let up on this. In fact the media who relies on groups like PEW need to fight back hardest to make sure that there's no question when his bought and sold study comes out. It won't name names and will just say: there's a problem and the only solution is to randomly invalidate the votes in states x, y, and z and make new voting restrictions. No recounts necessary.

What if this will make Hillary win?

The study will be a complete fabrication. It won't risk the suggestion of a recount or re-election. It will just vaguely say that "bad things are happening and we need new voter suppression laws"

It's funny how his desire for an investigation into a provable falsehood trumps investigations into Russian interference, his business ties and his tax returns in the eyes of repubs who will no doubt excuse this insanity like it's perfectly natural

I think he over played his hand here. Even republicans like Lindsey Graham have told him to investigate or get over it. So when they do investigate and find nothing he's going to look real bad.

Press presses him on when he will start building the border wall > Trump starts giving orders to prepare for building the wall.
Press presses him on his claims of voter fraud > Trump asks for investigation into alleged voter fraud.

Next press briefing they should all ask when he's planning to resign.

Then he'll throw another tantrum and tighten the noose some more. Lose/lose.

Sean Spicer 1 Year From Now:

You see, we "found nothing" is just fake news. We actually found tons of voter fraud and because of that we're going to be signing an executive order on a national Voter ID law tomorrow.

If you think the investigation will be non-partisan and/or that the Trump administration will not lie or distort the results to their own advantage as to enforce voter suppression, you are in for a rude awakening.

Exactly.

The press who asked about the wall was pro trump.

Is this instead of the investigation to Russian influence and/or Trump's violations of the emoluments clause? Or is it because the media, the populace, Dems, Republicans and his own lawyers are like "stop lying."

Trump is the type of liar who is willing to go balls deep to justify his bullshit till the bitter end. The investigation won't go anywhere and likely won't be completed in the 4 years he hopes he's president. He's insane and congress needs to do away with him soon. I thought the GOP were masters of wasting money on investigations, but Trump takes the cake.

I think the question still remains why he thinks so many voted illegally. His pew source is redacted. So why commit to an investigation when we have no evidence of what he's saying other than his ego?
