Trump will sign 'Extreme Vetting' of immigrants order today

So someone like this child (when he gets to be an adult) has to go through 'extreme vetting' when they have suffered enough. They didn't ask to be in a war torn country.

But because The Orange Turd can't pronounce their names or they come from a country that's in a region he thinks is more likely to have terrorism, that's ok. Unbelievable.

I work in immigration getting international healthcare professionals to fill jobs here in the US. The shortages here are incredible for nurses and will only get worse as more boomers retire and need more healthcare assistance. The process already takes around 1 1/2-2 years for the quickest cases (that's them signing a contract and starting work here). The amount of shit they have to go through to get here is already incredible, so this won't make any difference other than potentially slowing the process down. There's also additional checks done on them after they arrive before they start working so this whole thing is pointless for us.

Who in the Orange fuck would go to school for years to get a nursing degree, then work for years at a facility to cultivate a resume, then spend another 2 years going through the immigration process to finally arrive so they can blow something up? Are you fucking kidding me? This man is going to ruin our business by scaring qualified people away which will only worsen the healthcare indisuatry in this country and harm mostly his rural white rust belt voters (we send a lot there because shockingly no qualified Americans want to work there!).

Not to derail the conversation but how is there a shortage of nurses in the US? I ask because I was talking to a friend last night who is a RN and he was telling me that most hospitals on either coast have moved to a per diem model to save money. So in turn nurses are overworked and underpaid.

Wanna hear something disgusting? His base doesn't care and some think that child was a paid actor and it was all make up and CGI. Wouldn't be surprised if Trump himself thought that was the case too.

He can, no one can stop him. He and his party controls the majority of the government, there is no checks and balances anymore. Just pray for a Democrat majority in 2018 and 2020 to reverse these damages and hope that they take the vast majority that way they can reverse these damages permanently with constitutional amendments.

I'm familiar with the leaks, but is there somewhere I can see some specific details about what "extreme" vetting actually does? The article has no details at all. My fiancée is going through the K1 visa process right now and I need to know what (if anything) we'lol need to plan for.

Apparently there will be details coming today, will keep eye out for that and post if and when info lands.

Trump's going to end up signing more executive orders then Obama did in his first year at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if he signed around 100 executive orders by the end of the Also what kind of immigrant vetting is trump planning now?

He will still be able to sign as many executive order as he likes even if the democrats end up controlling both houses at the end of the 2018 midterm. The only thing that can limit trump in terms of EO's is the court system.

I can see that lawyers are now entering a golden age of business. There's so much going on right now that can and should get struct down by the courts. Whether it all hits the Supreme Court in time is another question.
