The rationale is that it conveys to readers how the acronym is supposed to be pronounced, but I agree that it looks bad.

So do they write SNES or S.N.E.S.

I don't understand why he's still rallying. Just take the W (or L if he considers it that) and be the damn president.

The thing is, you can tell he doesn't want to be President.

But he's gonna do what he does because he doesn't want to accept being wrong.

So he's gonna go rally to places he knows will get a reaction and attempt to be a president.
